It's been far too long since I've posted here. How is everyone? What have y'all been up to?

A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated by the ability to afford it.

When I was very young, maybe seven or eight years old, my mom told my dad that we (kids) needed a "computer". She wasn't entirely clear on what that all meant, but my dad trusted her instincts and got a Commodore Vic-20 for our family. I am not exaggerating when I say it would set the course of my entire life, and give me the skills and background to achieve the success that I achieved. That is part of why this project is so relevant to me.

+Reglue is a children's charity project that +Ken Starks started to get poor and disadvantaged kids the opportunity to have a computer of their own (over 1600 computers placed so far). They teach kids about how computers work from the hardware on up, and set them up with customized Linux distributions for learning and schoolwork.

This year, they are attempting to raise at least $9000 to continue their mission, and they are a couple thousand away at this point. If you are interested in this sort of work, they could really use some help to get over the line. There are some good perks starting as low as $10 including our own +Thomas A. Knight 's Time Weaver Trilogy, and literally any amount would help.

A good friend of mine runs a charity in Texas that refurbishes computers and gives them to underprivileged children for free. He's currently running his yearly fundraiser, and needs help.

Check out the link below, and make any donation you can afford. No amount is too small for this very worthy cause. Every penny you donate helps him get more computers out to kids who need them.

So I've been having trouble with this latest book. Normally, I'd be done my first draft by the end of July, but in this case, I can't seem to get anything down that I like.

I've rewritten the same 20k words about six times already, and have hated it each time.

Any other writers out there ever have this problem? How did you get past it?
