I could not have been treated any better than I was for my mani /pedi at Katwalk. I was treated to a special tea and cookies while I sat back and relaxed. Total attention to my every need. Great job! thank you Stavi ( excuse the spelling if I am wrong):)

WORST experience. DO NOT GET A STRAIGTENING treatment done here. Not only is my hair EXTREMELY damaged but it changed my color to orange. No follow up call, email or anything from the owner. No compensation. NOTHING. I would never recommend this salon to anyone and I would use extreme caution when getting any hair services here. The staff are not knowledgeable at all. Poor customer service

I recently got my hair done there by a gal named Amy. She was really nice and personable and I overall enjoyed my experience at the salon. I normally go see a barber but I am not opposed to paying salon prices if I get a good cut. She did just that and I even used a better product now too thanks to her advice. The people were friendly and I would definitely get my hair done there again.

This place is full of Fake Fake Fake people just like AA reports and changes her review every 2-3 days to reflect as a new review all the time. Get a life, better yet work hard at your job and you will get positive reviews don't create fake fathom ones!!!!! What a joke, I was called by my girlfriend when her coat was stolen. I walked into the place and after 5 minutes I called the cops because the owner (Candice) was all upset and said it's not her problem that the coat got stolen, never yelled, never insulted her or the staff. If you want to lie go ahead, there were no customers at the place when the incident happen so if the staff or yourself want to post positive reviews to make up for lack of professionalism go ahead. Your business was already poorly rated before my review, this is just adding negative reviews to your so called spa business. We also mentioned that Candice the owner gave my girlfriend $140 worth of product, we are not denying that. Was it worth the hassle...absolutely NOT. Did they do a crappy job on the pedicure...YES. Did the coat get stolen in their establishment (coat checked by one of the employees)...YES. Was the manager/owner Candice helpful from the moment that happened...NO NEVER. Have some decency before you start posting lies to better your business...How about just do a better job and treat customers with respect and when something goes wrong try to fix it before it blows up to have the cops involved and the fear that you will be taken to court. Shame on you and your business.

I REALLY LIKE THIS PLACE! The people are friendly and I always leave happy with their work. It really bothers me when people will go out of their way to talk negatifve about a place...but be anonymous...that is pretty pathetic.....get a backbone people...put your name on it! Great salon, been going for a few years, get nails, pedicures, hair cut...waxing...one stop shop. Always treated with a smile and coffee! :) They are awesome!! I would recommend this place to anyone. GREAT PLACE!

I bought a Groupon for this place and I'll admit I was nervous to go after discovering these reviews the day of my appointment (they don't show up in the Google search for some reason, so I didn't know when I was buying the groupon). Luckily, I had a good experience and will probably go back if I can make it up to North Van again sometime, if they keep their promotions on similarly. My hairdresser, Danielle, was great. She understood how anxious I was to get my hair cut shorter and talked through what she was doing so I wouldn't freak out about the length, and I like that she styled my hair so that my usually-poofy hair isn't so poofy, even after showering and washing the products out. I also REALLY appreciated that she didn't try to sell/push products on me like a lot of hair salons usually do. I explained that i'm low maintenance with my hair so she understood and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. The lady at the desk was also friendly and offered me tea while I waited for my appointment. My only recommendation for the salon would be to somehow make the place seem less cluttered....there's just so much stuff and so many people in one room and it feels a little claustrophobic, especially with all the shelves of products around the walls. A more open, wider environment (with more fresh air or air conditioning) could really help out. I didn't try any of the other services like waxing or nails or colouring, but I was quite happy with my hairstyle and cut and would highly recommend Danielle if you are unsure of who to request, she knows what she is doing.

This is a horrible place, STAY AWAY ! I took my daughter there for a manicure, what a joke. There is no cleaning or sterilization of equipment in between clients, only one hand received two coats...the whole manicure was a mess. The gal doing it doesn't know her manicures from an enema. The whole staff in there could not figure out to do a top coat. This place needs to be shut down. STAY AWAY, unless you want to catch an infectious disease or you just want to see with your own eyes the most uneducated, ill-equipped establishment on earth.

This place should not be called a SPA, if you wish SPA like treatment then go anywhere else but here. The service is poor; the owner (Candice) is rude to the staff and to the paying clients. My girlfriend took me to get a pedicure at this place on a Saturday afternoon. There were only 2 other clients when we arrived and the staff asked us if we wish to check our coats. I handed my coat to one of the girls and took a seat to get my pedicure. Half our later, crappy job on the pedicure ($25 although that was apparently the Valentines Day deal, original $50) went to the cash register to pay and asked for my coat back. Surprise surprise, their coatroom is the bathroom and according to the owner, the previous customer walked off with my $300 coat from Aritzia. Candice, the owner, told me that it is my responsibility as a client to make sure my coat doesn’t get stolen there is nothing they can do. Really? I handed my coat to one of your employees in your establishment and it’s my responsibility??? I told her I am not leaving without my coat and she started balling her eyes out and act hysterical pointing at her belly telling me I should have sympathy for her cause she’s pregnant. If you can’t deal with clients and incidents don’t be at work. 3 hours later and a police report and time to think about some sort of compensation she decided to help out…lol (I left and went straight to Aritzia to by another coat for $280) ; $140 worth of services (no way!) or products. Instead of taking her and the business to the court and spend more time and money I agreed to pick up product. When I called to see when is a good time she was extremely rude on the phone and sounded like she was doing me a big favor. I almost didn’t go but since my coat is now worth $600 I thought at least they could provide my shampoo for a month. She didn’t even look me in the eyes when I walked in and she was extremely unfriendly. The problem is not the theft, is the fact that CANDICE the proud owner of THE KAT WALK has the social skills of a 2 year old she is not fit to run a business nor handle situations like this. At least if the services provided were good but they were NOT. If you like to be treated like garbage and get a crappy job done on your nails or hair this is the place to go…just hang on to your coat.
