A gamer for the past 30 odd years, a sci-fi/fantasy nerd my entire life. I'm a US Army veteran and ex comic/game store manager, who now just schleps along in retail no longer living the dream.

Author Anne McCaffrey has passed away. I will never be able to properly express the impact she had on my interest in fantasy and, at a baser level, in just reading. She introduced me to the idea dragons could be good guys, that music was as important as magic, that science fiction and fantasy can comfortably commingle, and that politics is often the most dangerous battleground. She was a titan in our age, and shall be missed.

The passage is perhaps 300 feet wide, the ceiling nearly 800 feet tall: room enough for an entire New York City block of 40-story buildings. There are actually wispy clouds up near the ceiling. ..."

So I've recently started watching Felica Day's The Guild, I know I'm behind. I'm really enjoying the hell out of it more so than I thought I would, anyway listening to a podcast with the cast of the guild I heard about the Legend of Neil and checked it out today. It's pretty damn funny so you should check it out as well.
