This has everything to do with the prices of homes right now. If the people who own homes who would normally be interested in selling them are holding back then the volume of homes for sale won't be enough to keep up with demand because buyers are not holding back except when they have no other choice because the low inventory and high demand are pricing them out. It's a vicious cycle.

Another great article from Lawrence Yun. He is a Forbes Contributing Writer and he is also the Chief Economist for the National Association of REALTORS.
This article will give you a very informative look at what is going on in the housing market and why.

#badMLSphotoFRIDAY  ‬
We hope you're happy that it's Friday again. We know how much you love bad real estate listing photos. We let out a collective sigh for this one.
This particular MLS only allows for 25 photos. We think you should really make those photos count because that's not a lot. This agent, apparently, disagrees.
Almost one third of the photos are dedicated to the kitchen. A kitchen that does not deserve to be lavished with such attention. That's a 2-photo kitchen, at best.
There are two slightly different pictures of the dining room that are....pretty much exactly the same. That's an accomplishment.
The bathroom, stairs, and hardwood floor shots are like Escher drawings. Trippy.
Those vertical plantation shutters are one of a kind.
And the photo of the deck or patio. We are still puzzled by the question, "how can a photo capture so much, while communicating so little?" We can't even tell if it's a patio or a deck. Nice folding chair.
All in all, that's almost half of the listing's photos that are effectively useless.
Wow that's quite the rant!
Happy Friday!!!

It's   #badMLSphotofriday  again! Boy does time fly! A little too fast sometimes.
As of this morning I hadn 't located a photo for this week's spread. That's the bad news. What's worse? That it only took me five minutes on the MLS to locate a real Winner of a Loser.
Rule No. 1 for listing photos is that absolutely no people should be visible in photos. And they certainly shouldn't be staring at the camera and standing in a confrontational posture.
The agent's remarks for this listing should read something like....
"Don't mind Jeff, he's all bark and no bite. Just ignore him and make sure not to look him directly in the eyes. Unfortunately he is included with the property but Good News, so is the Refrigerator."
Happy Friday!!!

It's Bad MLS Photo Friday!
This agent seems to think that wide angle lenses are necessary for every single photo.
Warning! Objects in photos are smaller than they appear.
Is this how you would want your home to be advertised? You're only trying to get potential buyers to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for it. What does it matter what the photos look like?
Happy Friday!!!

Here's an active listing I came across this week. It's a $5M listing and they didn't hire a photographer. Maybe that'd be okay if the agent was at least a decent photographer, they are not. I can see the captions now...
"Great Curb Appeal!!!"
"Don't Miss the Birdhouse"
"Dog IS Included with Shower"
"Crooked Orchard is an Unparalleled Beauty"
That's right. They're from a $5M listing.
Happy Saturday!
