On FB, I added comments to a group posting of former (& current) Navy CT's and later noted a flurry of comment (as well as camaraderie) to a female Sailor's rebuttal. In short,  she took umbrage at sea duty of specific duration (as a crew member or DIRSUP) contributed to one being a Sailor.
I don't believe Marines have any qualms or need justification of their service, duty, or accomplishments.  I noted this photo and article of the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.  Now he's someone who definitely has the qualities of leadership I'd model myself after.
You can tell a lot about a man based on how he acts when he thinks no one is watching.

In an often insane, morally-bankrupt world generating fodder for tv and internet consumption, I praise a God who hears prayer.

After reviewing additional legal filings I must perform  in the probate of my late mother's insolvent estate,  I think the bureaucracy of the legal system and lawyers are only slightly less torture than water-boarding!

Follow up to car accident;  NEVER rely on the @#$#@ DROID from Motorola!  In an emergency when you NEED it to work, the motorola DROID X crapped out - rebooted - and froze.  This despite a full battery and only using it as a phone.  MOTOROLA is one company that should go into extinction.   I'm switching to the Iphone 5 from now on.

I thnk this is the same man who briefed a group of us ( all CTs and Intelligence professionals) at Suitland in late '89 on the anniversary of the attack on the LIBERTY.  (It was also some years after the conviction of Pollard  - a Suitland employee - who spied for Israel.  )
A sailor whose heroism in 1967 enabled the USS Liberty to get out a life-saving distress call to the 6th Fleet died in California.

And when your son takes it, gets a flat tire, & leaves it at his friends' house- I think it was stolen!
