Get there early, bring pretty girl, bring blankets, enjoy double feature, reasonable prices, and quality movie date. I suggest going the second week showing...and you have to get there a little before six if you want a reasonable spot. If you're doing it right..it will take you and hour to get your whip set up for the show. figure out how to tune your HD Radio in before hand. Snack bar had good food and antique projectors for the history buffs. Very very very great date spot.

My family loves going to Showboat. It can be hard to go to the movies with little kids but the drive in is a game changer. The kids can play and even fall asleep if need be. I love it.

I haven't been to many drive-in theaters, but this is the best of the few I've visited. It's pretty popular, so if you want to make both features, you apparently need to line up an hour in advance of the first screening. Fortunately we were able to make it back for the second feature (which is what we really wanted to see anyways), because a lot of folks clear out after the first picture. Very affordable and the staff is friendly. A good time, if you can stay awake for the last picture, which usually wraps up some time after 1 AM!

We take our grandchildren every summer, it's inexpensive, the snack bar is very clean and well staffed, the restrooms are always clean and they've added more. The staff are super friendly and if your car needs a jump they send someone to help you. I could not say one negative thing about this place...heck, even though it's outside they rarely have mosquitoes, the playground is awesome...just a great place for the family.

This is a great place to brings children that are just a little too young for a theater. The prices are very fair considering you get to watch two movies. My only suggestion is to get there extra early, this place fills up quickly. It's a shame that the Houston area only have this one drive-in.

Took the family to Showboat Drive-in and had a great time. This drive-in was started, and is run by drive-in enthusiasts who want to preserve the special evening a drive-in offers and make it available for younger generations who may not otherwise get to experience it. As outings go in Houston this is on the affordable end of the scale. Showboat has two screens and every ticket is a double feature. Front screen is family friendly, rear shows movies for the grown-ups. There were long lines at the bathrooms but it looked like they were about to add more just outside the snack bar so this may no longer be a problem.

Awesome theater and cheap, tasty concessions, just don't try to check their website after dark close to the weekend. It's always down.
