Last weekend saw 10 ladies and gentlemen join us for some floral escape time - just them and the flowers (and me talking about how much I love flowers!)

One thing you'll receive with all of our 2018 courses is some take home notes about what we teach so you can really put into practise all those floral skills.

Writing these handouts has really made me think about how I arrange, choose the blooms and think about colour. All too often this becomes second nature and when you've been 'playing' with flowers as long as I have you just take these decisions without really thinking deeply about it. It was so insightful to drill down and analyse my flower shape choosing process and it made me really fall back in love about the process of thought behind the creativity.

If you love flowers and want some information on how to up your floristry game then you are going to want to tune in to our blog every Wednesday where I will be sharing the thought that goes behind the blooms.

This week is all about the basics of shape ...

Today Spring is in the air - the sun is out and Agata, one of our lovely florists is totally rocking the bouquets. This is one of her creations and I have to say, we're going to pinch the design for our Mothers Day collection, which will be hitting the online shop later this week www.greenparlour.com/shop

With a brisk 4:00am start we have arrived in England's fairest land. Beautiful roses, hydrangeas and ferns are the order of the day.

With just a moment to pause we're back into the crazy energy required to set up any event, with the backdrop of divine Englefield House.
