actual speculation from CNN: did Tamerlan Tsarnaev become a terrorist because he was named after Timurlane, "Muslim warrior who killed millions"? followed by actual assertion from CNN: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is named after the "president of the Islamic Czech Republic". christ, someone put them out of their misery. or at least put me out of mine.

"At some point in the future you’ll walk down the aisle of the supermarket and ask for beef and chicken, and like the automobile has no relationship to the horse, what you get will have nothing to do with animals."

yes. "Although some times I have felt that I held fire in my hands and spread a page with shining—I have never lost the weight of clumsiness, of ignorance, of aching inability. A book is like a man—clever and dull, brave and cowardly, beautiful and ugly. For every flowering thought there will be a page like a wet and mangy mongrel, and for every looping flight a tap on the wing and a reminder that wax cannot hold the feathers firm too near the sun."
Fascinating letters. Interesting correspondence.

I am actually reading something on it at the moment (probably not too much of a surprise), having given up on something else on it (Slaughterhouse 5 - seriously, wtf?)

Unfortunately, following it takes me to stuff I've already read, so it's not that helpful :(

If you woke up tomorrow and the zombie apocalypse had begun, what would you see when you checked your computer? What about the next day, and the week after that?
