Creative Sound did a great job doing the audio video in our conference room. We also had them install speakers in every office so that everyone can listen to music. It was truly flawless work. We are very happy with how great the team was and how great everything looked after completion. The TV is perfectly hung in our conference room, and the speakers were flawlessly cut in the ceiling of all the offices. Thank you Creative Sound!

"just send in your deposit and we'll get started" So, I send in the deposit for $30,000 and then we have a bit of a dispute over pricing and what will be done. I forget about it for a bit because there are plenty of other vendors on the job, and then in time I remember and ask for my deposit back. Sorry, it's been credited to your contractors account becuase he owed us money. I'm pretty sure that the ROC will request the return of my deposit, and perhaps Doug and Ed know that they can just hold onto it for a year while the ROC moves as slowly as they can, but it doesn't seem right. And, then their $100 an hour for their know it all Crestron Lighting guy. He wasn't as efficient as the $100 an hour lighting guy who replaced him when Creative stopped showing up on the job. There were a lot of items which they claimed were too complicated, but which Crestron said were easy and which the other lighting guy did just fine on. So, while I'm sure that Creative is better than someone, they aren't half as good as the guy who replaced them. They really did pretty good on the pre-wire. Some stuff wasn't as good as I had expected, and they kept telling me that they were going to send me a video of the job, but instead we had people in the attic toning out the wires which came loose or got lost. Pretty much normal stuff, except I guess that they get upset when you don't follow through with a 100K video system and you just spend the 30K for the pre-wire and 45K for the lighting. The penalty, as one might expect is that they won't answer calls, they won't work for $100 a hour, and they won't do anything without payment in advance (even when they were showing up to work on the job - we had a $1000 change order for some fountains that they required up front payment on -- interesting). In closing, I'm sure that they aren't the worst out there, and they might even be the best. The alarm system came out pretty good except for the junk 4 motion detectors that they installed (the house should have been wired for about a dozen motion detectors I would have thought), and that they put the wrong panel in - one which wasn't compatible with the Crestron system or supported directly by Crestron. But, the wiring was in the right place and the door contacts pretty much work. They were super cheap contacts and some of them broke, but I've clearly seen worse quality. I would have used better contacts on the garage doors myself, but then again everyone makes choices. It was a $3600 alarm system and with the number of doors in this house, I should complain a bit less. That's a lot of wire. But, they that they so much as stole my $30,000, yeah, I'm upset about that. They ordered nothing for the job relating to the $30,000 deposit on the sound system, but kept the deposit becuase the construction supervisor on my job didn't pay them for another job. Legally it won't stand up any more than them refunding my deposit to you (lucky reader). But, at least they didn't go out of business during the downturn. Very much a positive sign there. I hear that Cybersound is more expensive, and that StarPower is less competent. So, of the larger than "I work out of my house" vendors, Creative is probably the best of the bunch. For my money though, I did really well with the small vendors without a showroom and with only some levels of authorization. Oddly, they were probably cheaper than 2 of the "out of their house" vendors. As best I can tell, even though Crestron systems cost a whole bunch, they appear to take a ton of labor and money to install.
