Our own Kate Ferencsik '16 invites everyone to Design Hope's 2nd Annual Art show on Friday, May 6. Show hours are 6 - 9 p.m. at the Whitefield center on 37th Street and Drayton in Savannah, Ga. Come support high school musicians Riley Stillwagon, Ben Mayo, Nina Miller and many more. St. Andrew's upper school and middle school artists will have their work for sale and on display. Other local artists’ work will be for sale in addition to an array of t-shirts, Ethiopian coffee, scarves, and jewelry. Drinks and food will be provided! Come help the club achieve their final goal of raising $30,000 to fund the school at the Hope Center for Children with Disabilities in Komame, Ethiopia by next year. (You may remember their efforts in creating a charity team for the Rock n Roll Marathon last November.) Thanks in advance.
Also, there will be available parking adjacent to the building.

Malcolm Mitchell Author, Athlete and All-Around Good Guy Visits St. Andrew’s Private School.

As part of the Savannah Book Festival, former UGA football standout Malcolm Mitchell spent some time at St. Andrew’s. He read his first nonfiction story, The Magician’s Hat, signed autographs and offered some wonderful advice to the entire student body. WSAV was on hand to capture some of the magic http://wsav.com/2016/02/12/uga-football-great-and-author-visits-st-andrews-school/

Star Student Title for Chatham County

Congratulations Rebecca Suh, STAR Student and Mr. Kelly, STAR Teacher! The STAR program honors Georgia’s high achieving seniors and the teachers who have been instrumental in their academic development. Each Chatham County high school nominated a senior with the highest SAT score in one sitting and who also is in the top 10% of the class. Rebecca will now move onto the Regional Competition in Statesboro in March to compete at the region level. If you would like to read more about the STAR program, click here.
