Local chain known for express Mexican comfort fare & green chili cheese fries, plus a drive-thru.- Google
"Willing to replace so I drove back to get another beef & bean handheld burrito."
"The large should have enough to smother all the fries."

Chubby's is my #1 comfort food (been going to 38th for 35 years), which is why I've given this particular location -Santa Fe Dr. so many chances despite frustrating service (takes a long time even if you're the only one waiting), getting orders wrong, fries under cooked and prices being unjustifiably high. The LAST time I decided to order drive thru, the drive thru was broken. As I waited (trapped) for 10 minutes, behind the person who was ordering through the window, I had time to observe the unkempt building exterior and variety of weeds and ponder my mistake. Why order food from someone who clearly doesn't give a crap about their establishment or you as a customer. After the window lady stated that a bean and cheese burrito with chile inside would be 6.16, I cancelled and left. Thank God for 38th.

We went to the Santa Fe Chubby's for the last time tonight. We have given them 7th, 8th, 9th chances and they just keeping messing up. They can't even get chili cheese fries right. The fries weren't cooked and I ended up throwing it out after just a couple of bites. My wife's order was the same. There was one person ahead of us and it took 9 minutes to get through the drive thru. This Chubby's gives the one on 38th a bad name.

Two words: Indian Tacos! That in itself gets the four stars. Not all their food was good, and the Spanish rice is downright DISGUSTING! How do you get it so mushy on the outside, but still have HARD centers??? Suggest getting rice cooker and using spices, it tastes like mush rice and catsup. Lots of Catsup. :-( Dining area grubby, and employees way too concerned with socializing, but once we get our food... INDIAN TACOS lol

Absolutely horrible, cubby's should be ashamed this place is still in business. My favorite food in the world is Mexican food and they can't pay me to ever eat there again. I have never in my life seen a Mexican hamburger literally wrapped like a damn burrito with an overwhelming amount of beans shooting from every direction. Cheese wasn't melted, the smothered fries were a joke, they was out of green chile, we ordered 5 mini burritos that looked like the ones from Walmart......I'm so damn upset I could go on and on, if I ever go back which is a huge maybe I'll be at the one on 38th

Poor customer service, even in management. they need training in customer service. I called after coming home with my order and finding out the beef was burned. called to speak with management. willing to replace so I drove back to get another beef & bean handheld burrito. to get the same burned beef from the first time. mind you I live in lakewood. and the bitch at the drive thru was rude as hell. karma is a true fact. so good luck to the actual owners. with the poor service from employees is going to ruin your business.

Always friendly, but the conditions of the restaurant are more or less disgusting. First time I went there I used the restroom which required a key to enter, and no toilet paper and smelled like sewer. I wondered how workers washed ect. Only time I used the restroom needless to say. Next couple times I went it was more or less filthy looking with napkins, salt and pepper packets littering the floor. Last time I went the whole place smelled as a sewer and was really a terrible thought that the food may be likewise. Food was good, but conditions in the back of my mind really ruined the experience. The building needs teared down or major renovation.

So good, as a New Mexico native I love hot chili, and so far this is the best green chili I've had in Denver. Pretty good prices too and the staff was so friendly!
