Stop looking for the needle in the haystack! Faith is about looking at the hay.

Have you ever wondered if it is possible to limit which modules a module can require? Well now it is. Check out my new require-shield module for NodeJS.

Open Source The Word Of God!
How can you put your talents as a programmer to use?
Go to ebible.org, grab an Open Source version of The Bible, and make a cool online app where readers can ask question, answer questions, make comments, search, and cross reference The Bible. If you are bilingual then provide a translation in your language. Don't let God's word be restricted by these Gatekeepers. Hack into Gods word and help it spread!

Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This is funny, but skewed. It is assuming that everyone is voting against and not for a candidate.
Who will you be voting against in November?

I was reminded of this today.
It is John Lennon's birthday today. One of his songs had these word in it: "all you need is love". As christians we know that God is love, so really all you need is God. You need love. Not to be loved, but for you to love. Love someone today, and see what happens. You might be surprised.

The problem is that we are taught in pre-school to count to 10 like 1, 2, 3, 4...10.
Teachers should stop doing that. In the base 10 number system the values are from 0 to 9.
Why should the first index in an array be 1 when the first number in our number system, or any number system for that matter, is 0?
Here is a plea to teachers: please start teaching your students to count from zero instead of one.
The first programming languages named 1 as the first element of an array, consistent with mathematical and common practice. The C language named the first element as 0, perhaps motivated by efficiency on the machines of the day.

Since then, nearly all languages have followed C's example. But did we get it right? I have heard arguments about fence post errors that favor both 0 and 1.

Would we do better if the next generation of languages returned to the common practice?

Which is better?

Do not limit your vision to what is possible
or you will never look beyond the obvious.

The problem with travel is that no matter where you go, there you are.

Make sense!
Do not be prideful, but have a sense of pride.
Do not rely only on your brain, but listen to your senses.
Do not be selfish, but be sensitive to the needs of others.
Do not chase after sensations, but make sense out of ordinary life.
Do not be foolish, make your life make sense.
...I hope this made sense to you...
