Deceuninck North America to Introduce New Deck Lighting, Baluster and Curved Rail Products at JLC LIVE Northwest

Company to Highlight Partnership with Clubhouse Distributor Vandermeer Forest Products

Deceuninck North America will highlight its new deck lighting, baluster and curved rail options for Clubhouse® Decking and Railing at JLC LIVE Northwest 2014. The show will take place December 4-5 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR.

Deceuninck’s booth (#1020) features the work of Dr. Decks. The Tacoma, Wash.-based deck builder constructed the booth to showcase these innovative new products available through Deceuninck’s regional distribution partner, Vandermeer Forest Products. Vandermeer offers Clubhouse Decking and Railing products to customers across the Pacific Northwest.

Deceuninck is also serving as a sponsor for the Deck Building Workshop, one of the JLC LIVE BUILDING CLINICS, which are live, interactive demonstrations presented by top industry experts. Throughout the show, the Deck Building Workshop will feature Clubhouse Decking in its decking product demonstration.

“Our Clubhouse Decking and Railing products offer a single source for innovative decking and railing solutions, and we are pleased to serve as an exhibitor at this important show in an area in which we continue to expand our footprint,” said Filip Geeraert, president and CEO of Deceuninck North America. “We are also pleased to support Vandermeer Forest Products, a well-established two-step distributor in the Pacific Northwest, and partner with Dr. Decks on the creation of our booth, which highlights the versatility of our decking and railing products.”

The Clubhouse lighting is designed to match Clubhouse railing finishes, including black and white with a matte finish or contrasting bronze. Deceuninck will feature a host of these new lighting options at the show, including post cap lights with matching standard post caps, down lights for deck posts and step lights that can be used on posts or steps. Recessed deck lights will also be available for use on stairs, walkways and perimeters to create an additional design feature. All lights come with full installation instructions, warranty and are available with timers and dimmer switches.

Deceuninck North America’s Clubhouse Decking is 100-percent PVC. Korelite also helps to keep moisture out and reduces the opportunity for degradation from mold, mildew, freezing and thawing. SunShield® technology helps protect Clubhouse from the harsh effects of the sun, including UV resistance and fade protection, resistance to cracking and brittleness, and surface degradation. Clubhouse Decking is also 100-percent recyclable and does not require painting or staining. It features a limited lifetime warranty with 25-year fade and stain protection backed by Deceuninck.

Deceuninck’s Clubhouse Elite Railing System is engineered to be longer-lasting than painted wood and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty with 25-year fade and stain coverage. It is 100percent recyclable, and the low-maintenance nature of the product means no chemical cleaning, painting or staining is necessary. Available in white, walnut and black, Elite Railing’s low-gloss, low-maintenance finish means that the product never needs to be painted. For extra protection, SunShield is also included.

Deceuninck North America Recognized by DWM Magazine with 2014 Green Award

Company’s Rovex Technology among Innovations Featured in November Issue

Deceuninck North America was selected as 2014 Green Award winner by DWM Magazine. Recognized for a prototype balcony door co-developed with Inoutic, a member of the Deceuninck Group NV, the window frame was pultruded by Deceuninck North America using its Rovex technology and polyurethane raw materials from Bayer MaterialScience LLC. Featured in the publication’s November issue, the award highlights Deceuninck North America for this innovation, emphasizing the strength and thermal efficiency of Rovex that can be difficult to achieve with current material technologies.

“We are honored to be recognized by a leading industry publication with this award. The excellent thermal properties that can be achieved by using our Rovex polyurethane-glass composite technology can translate into energy savings for our customers,” says Filip Geeraert, president and CEO of Deceuninck North America.

“At the same time, the strength of the Rovex material is close to that of aluminum which creates opportunities for energy efficient and high performing window designs.”

Developed by Deceuninck North America, Rovex is an advanced fiber glass reinforced resin designed to serve as a high-performance alternative to conventional materials like concrete and metal. Strong yet lightweight, Rovex products are non-corrosive, non-conductive and offer superior structural, thermal and environmental performance.

DWM Magazine’s Green Award categories included projects, products and overall companies which embody green principles. Suppliers, dealers, distributers and door and window manufacturers were invited to submit entries.

Glassfibre reinforced PVC window Zendow#neo wins the SPE Award for Hybrid Product Innovation

Member of European Parliament Martina Dlabajová handed out the award to Deceuninck CEO Tom Debusschere at European Polytalk 2014

Reinforcement technology recognized by industry experts, academia & design specialists

Deceuninck, a global manufacturer of PVC and composite window & door systems has received the Innovation Award from the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) in the category ‘Hybrid Product’. It was the first time that this award competition was organised in 8 different categories. The judging was done by a team of industry experts, academia & design specialists.

Deceuninck CEO Tom Debusschere has received the award from Martina Dlabajová (MEP) during the gala on Polytalk 2014 in Brussels on the 4th November 2014.
Polytalk is organised by PlasticsEurope to bring together high-level figures from the world of politics, industry, economy, science & academia along with the NGO community and civil society to address issues regarding sustainable growth, circular economy & new industrial revolution.

Zendow#neo: glass fibre & steel wire reinforcement boost thermal performance

Traditional PVC window frames have galvanised steel inside to reinforce the window frame. With Deceuninck's Linktrusion® technology (used in Zendow#neo windows), the steel is replaced by using an innovative reinforcement technology.

Linktrusion® is used in 2 ways: as continuous glass fibres embedded in the profile (200,000 metres of glass fibres are used in 1 metre of PVC window frame profile) – or as a recycled PVC foam core with steel wires and a PVC skin which is inserted in the profile.

Zendow#neo windows (with high insulating glass), can obtain very low (and thus significantly better) insulating values as low as 0.65 W/m²K (Uw). In a lot of houses, 15-20% of the heat still escapes through windows – so replacing old windows by top insulating windows with Linktrusion® technology has a huge impact on the energy efficiency of the house.

The panel said: “We are impressed with the complexity of the process and the fine result in properties and sustainability enhancements”.
More info about Zendow#neo with Linktrusion can be found in this video: Deceuninck windows - Zendow#neo Linktrusion + production process
