From the article: "Jordan’s military and intelligence forces have generally kept a close eye on Syrian rebels moving across their borders, and they have limited smuggling of heavy weapons."

"A personal thank u to all who support me in spreading story of #Homs. I often mention your usernames to rebels which makes them proud" #Syria

"Just knowing that foreigners are behind them is enough. Fighting the regime online is a big hit here. Many love to hear that ..."

Least you can do: let them know that you support them #Homs

FOREIGN MINISTER SAUD:"I would like to commend the U.S. decision to send military aid to the Free Syrian Army, and express my relief for what I heard today from the U.S. Secretary of State concerning both changing the military balance of powers on the ground and maintaining the legitimacy of the Syrian National Coalition as the sole representative of the Syrian people."

Try to find all factual errors in this piece. Then switch to expert mode and attribute them to their sources. I perfectly understand when you refuse to read more than the first paragraph :(

We know way more. But that's irrelevant.

A journo should do research, and check each source like http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/84308 against videos from FSA sources and so on. That's time consuming, hence most journos avoid it and put out lazy plagiarism like in the painful TIME piece.  Which starts with a blatant 'slipping grip' lie BTW, followed by propaganda: regime didn't bomb FSA but civilian neighborhoods ... loads of BS in the first paragraph alone.

Knowing nothing and admitting it is not bad at all, but writing as if one is in the know in this situation is def NOT journalism.

I consider this one the most important tweet I've spammed my followers with in the past 0.5 minutes:

Forming an opinion about the Syrian revolution based on mainstream media reports, Youtube videos and Facebook/Twitter updates leads to brain farts and ends in brain death eventually.
