I've wondered if infinite scroll will ever become a reality at Google. #gplus It appears +Marissa Mayer is not partial to the idea, however that was more than a year ago (nov 2010), and since then the method of serving pages is arguably becoming more widespread and accepted. (Twitter, Facebook Timeline, Pinterest..) Google Images have infinite scroll but not main search results. Is there a technical reason why Google could not offer it, is it the challenge of Adwords and thus a uncertain risk to revenue or ultimately the usability argument such that pagination is the preferred method all-round?
