Choosing the right size custom tablecloth is something that a lot of people don’t think about all the time. The majority of our customers prefer a lap length drop of eight to ten inches. I always recommend that they measure from the top of the table to the top of their chair seats. You don’t want it to puddle up on your seat, and a ten inch drop may be too long.
Some people like the tablecloth to drop all the way to the floor, so it is very important that you measure the height of your table so that it fits properly. I recommend that you have it terminate an inch above the floor, although some people prefer them to puddle on the floor. Most standard tables are 29” to 31” tall.
When measuring for a tablecloth, you first measure the width and length at the longest points, and then you add your desired drop measurement twice to those numbers. The drop has to fall on all sides evenly.
