I'm so proud of how my son has grown as a person. Our little boy is now a young man off to College. He has a donation page if you care to support his future endeavors, he works so hard and never wastes an opportunity, we can't wait to see what he does next!

This week in the Maker Studio; "Make moving drawings".  Learn about how our eyes and our brains communicate to make a series of drawings look like a movie and about how artists animate our favorite cartoons, old and new!

Windows 10 release for +Raspberry Pi and +MinnowBoard MAX.
When Raspberry Pi 2 Model B was released, we were promised a Windows 10 image for the board, and today, Microsoft released “Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Preview” for both the Broadcom BCM2836 based Raspberry Pi 2 and Intel Atom E3800 series based Minnowboard MAX boards.

Man, people suck!

+Polar3D had over 20 3D printers stolen from them last night. Lets hope those jerkoffs get what they deserve! Sorry to hear what happened William, hope the security footage helps.

In 1979 there was a total solar eclipse in the US. I was a child in school and I didn't get to go see it. I've waited almost 40 years for the opportunity to see one again, and the wait is almost over.

August 21, 2017 the most amazing US eclipse in the last 99 years will occur. We've had partial eclipses, we've had annular eclipses, but this one will be total. The entire continental US will be able to see the partial eclipse with the right gear. But a small sliver of the country will get to see the total eclipse of the sun. I plan to be in that small sliver.

I saw that.  I had to skip a very stupidly scheduled field trip at school, but I saw the 1979 eclipse.  I'll drive up to Wyoming or Nebraska to see this one.

For a Maker culture to thrive, it needs a healthy habitat. Four people from both public and private sectors discussed state of the art initiatives, policies and recipes towards better Maker habitat.
Panelists offer a look at the emerging connection between makers, city government, and economic development, and how a Maker city is formed.
