Hello! We are closed for renovation. Our last day of service is tomorrow, March 25 2017.

We are shutting down our operations to literally raze our hotel to the ground and start anew. To all our loyal patrons over the years, thank you for your patronage.

Our hotel has served as a safe and affordable abode for travelers for 57 years. As time marches along and their needs evolve, we have learnt to adapt and exceed our customers' expectations. Now, we will change the very core of our hotel to a fresher design and more modern infrastructure.

We remain committed to safety and affordability through our new hotel design. As always, we welcome your suggestions on what we can do to improve your experience staying at our hotel. Please send us your feedback at GuestAssistance@DurbarResidency.com and we hope to enjoy your continued patronage when we resume operations!

Had our hotel's address on Google changed from "D.H. Road" to "Swami Chinmayananda Rd", the new official name for the same road (D.H. stands for Durbar Hall, btw). The road was renamed as a tribute to Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati whose house stood on the same plot of land as our hotel.

Like other small businesses, we too have had the debate of Google Apps vs. MS Office 365; and we ended up choosing Google Apps despite being a former client of Office 365's predecessor Office Live Small Business. UC Berkeley too has made this decision recently, and they have put up a comparison matrix that is worth reading for those still on the fence. To be clear, we are not saying that Google's solution is better than Microsoft for everybody; every business/organization will have a different take on this debate since they use these technologies differently, so YMMV.

Wow, I must confess I am really impressed with Google+'s rich posting options. I was sending the url of our hotel's website to a friend, and it automagically created a neat snippet complete with a slideshow of images! Check this out: http://durbarresidency.com
