Linux supports more emulators than many users would expect. Linux systems can handle many different arcade and game console emulators as well as emulators for different processors. However, the most surprising emulation software that Linux offers is emulation for DOS (Disk Operating System). It may sound odd, but Linux can run DOS, but not for the purposes many users would guess - games. There are a few DOS emulators, and some are better than others. The two most popular and stable DOS emulators for Linux are DOSbox and DOSemu. They each have advantages and disadvantages over each other. This article will discuss using DOS on Linux for gaming.

The Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) is a special part of the Linux kernel that allows regular users to make and use their own filesystems without needing to change the kernel or have Root privileges. The filesystems used in FUSE are virtual filesystems. Not all virtual filesystems use FUSE. The code for FUSE itself is in the kernel, but the filesystem is in userspace.

The C programming language (and similar languages) use a coding concept called "pointers". Pointers point to a memory address. The pointer itself does not contain the data. Rather, the pointer stores the memory address (like the index of a book). Many people may have problems understanding pointers and addressing, so I hope this helps.

WEP is a common WiFi security algorithm that has been found to have many security flaws. This security algorithm is so weak that it can be hacked in about fifteen minutes or less. Since Linux and most of its software is open-source, this makes it easy for anyone to hack WEP WiFi hotspots.
