Just finished Galbraith's "Affluent Society" - a great read for anyone wondering about what the economy of our generation might look like.

Spotify for Linux still under development? Boo!

Trying to efficiently download Open Yale Courses without using iTunes.

So I'm on a linux box and have no access to iTunes. I'm trying to download a bunch of Open Yale Courses without having to manually click the download link for each page.

In particular, I'm trying to programmatically download all of the mp3 files on this page: http://oyc.yale.edu/political-science/capitalism-success-crisis-and-reform/content/downloads

Trying wget on the link destination doesn't work (and if you copy/paste the link into your browser, you end up with a blank page that says: "No file available for download"). If you click on the link manually, it works. I injected jQuery into the page and tried to do:

$('a[href$=".mp3"]').click()

But no dice there either. It's like it somehow knows if you're trying to programmatically download stuff. Any scraper gurus have any wisdom on this?

And philosophically... why is Open Yale Courses tied to iTunes?
