Good food horrible service. Our server took our drink orders and food order, brought out our drinks and by the time our food came she hopped on her bike and left. Didn't even tell us she was leaving, didn't even tell us who to ask if we needed a refill or something. Seriously just left. Needless to say me or my boyfriend never got a refill. We basically got our orders taken, got our brought to us by someone who works in the kitchen and were immediately forgotten about. I guess since they already got our order they already got our money so they didn't care anymore. I love Mexican food and I'm always looking for new places but we will never be back due to neglectful service. Especially in New Orleans which is known for its food and service hospitality there are many other places that will offer you more.

Love the Panchitas. The empanadas are my favorite! Ask for the homemade chipotle sauce to go with...it is so good.

I freaking LOVE their taco salad. And their fountain drinks are THE best.

New Orleans is not a Mexican food town. There are only two places that I would recommend and this is one of them. Don't go here if you expecting American "Tex-Mex" food. They have great authentic Mexican cuisine. Some pallets may not be able to handle the tastes since it falls outside the norm. The salsa is great and it tasted different every time you go here since it is made fresh. At times, they will bring roasts jalapeños to the table as an appetizer. Warning, some of these can be ripping hot. The chips are homemade and the mole has a rich, dark, chocolaty taste. My only complaint is that the steak can have large hunks of grizzle.

Been to a few Mexican restaurants since I moved down here, this has been the best. Spicy Chicken Fajita hit the spot. So many options and so much I want to try. Very affordable, especially in that part of town. I will be back, and soon.

This is a amazing little place, always friendly, very fast, consistently good food. Personal I love the outside tables, but the inside isn't bad. If you like good food and friendly service at a affordable price, this is the place for you

It is a nice-looking and decently decorated Mexican restaurant. There is pleasant outside seating, right on the sidewalk. The appetizer chips had two delicious sauces with it. My entree ($9.00) was the Jalapenos Chili Relleno (beef), with sides of rice, refried beans, and a bit of salad. The main problem was not the flavor, which was delicious all around, but the tiny portions. One just doesn't get much, here. So, if you love delicious food and am satisfied with just a little bit of it, this is a place for you. RJT

What a wonderful cheap, authentic Mexican restaurant! This was our first time to try Panchitas. It has got to be the absolute best Mexican restaurant in New Orleans. The service was very helpful and fast, and the atmosphere and big block chairs were very comfortable. I'll definitely be going back.
