Staying with friends recently in Kelso we drifted through the town centre on Friday evening and saw it all lit up which was magical. It inspired us to visit to do shopping. What a delight, spent far more than intended! Getting my husband out of the micro brewery and the beer shop took some doing. But he indulged me in the gallery and the interior shops and I came back laden!
Thank you Kelso for a great day shopping.... it is only 1 hours drive from Newcastleton!

Our last wedding.....very romantic, it was Hogmanay.

"We stayed for a week with friends and extended family, the house, the village, the local folk and especially Barbara & Paul were all fantastic. Our Wedding Ceremony in this stunning property, was romantic, very personal and a beautiful setting for our photos and we will always have fond cherished memories of Our Wedding and New Year in Dalkeith House and Newcastleton Village"  Mr & Mrs Robinson

Northumberland National Park has Dark Sky status, meaning it is one of the best places to see the night sky. Dalkeith House is only a 30 minutes from the park. It is a truly awe inspiring sight to look at this universe in complete quiet and appreciate just how vast it is. You can do this under your own steam or get a real buzz and attend a lecture at the Kielder Observatory.  The best time to see the sky is when its cold and crisp.  Winter Weekend breaks are avail for 2 or 3 nights for up to 10 people in Jan/Feb starting from £853.  Check our availability calendar.
