Nonprofit Dedicated To Creative #Reuse Comes To #Cary Towne Center Mall

The Carolina Creative Center (previously known as Cary Creative Reuse Center), has moved to a new location in the Cary Towne Center Mall.  The local nonprofit will hold its Grand Opening celebration on Friday, July 17th.  Festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting at 11am, continue with creative reuse crafting throughout the day for both children and adults, and end with a reception in the evening.  The reception will also introduce the new Artist Marketplace, where local artists and crafters have their own gallery / retail space inside the shop.  Refreshments will be served, and ALL ARE WELCOME!
The reception will be held in their new location at Cary Towne Center Mall near the carousel, and will run from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

Town of Fuquay-Varina will be supporting the upcoming, regional International Bluegrass Festival with a friendly, competitive, and delicious BBQ Cook-Off. 

On Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 3-8pm Fuquay-Varina Downtown Revitalization will launch this new event for barbecue and craft beer enthusiasts so we can put our finest barbecue folks up against other barbecue masters from all over the southeast.

At Wake Technical Community College's Flavors Restaurant, cantaloupe is served as an intriguing first-course, cold melon soup. Culinary instructor Fredi Morf shares the recipe.

Piedmont announces Gregory Gettles as Executive Chef

This week, Piedmont proudly welcomes Gregory Gettles as Executive Chef of Piedmont. “It’s a real honor to join General Manger Crawford Leavoy and the Piedmont team,” explained Gettles. “Our menu will continue to offer the kind of adventurous seasonal, comfort food that Piedmont has become so well known for.” Gettles will introduce his first dishes during Triangle Restaurant Week, June 8 – 14, 2015. By July 6th, the full menu will reflect Gettles’ cuisine.
