What to do with that bag full of candy the day after? Melt it all down in a pie. With pretzel crust, of course. http://www.tablespoon.com/recipes/leftover-halloween-candy-pie-with-pretzel-crust/a1f8b004-1a67-4494-8881-3114f9c09379/

Ooh, my first roundup! Here goes. I was inspired by these gluten-free, vegan Ding Dong monsters over at Fork and Beans. Some of these are vegan and not necessarily gluten-free, so make any adjustments you need.   More from this great site. Find Frankenstein rice cereal treats at Fork and Beans.   Wait, one more!...Read More »

Story
Tagline
I write about decorated cookies, painted marshmallows and oher crafty sweets at www.thedecoratedcookie.com.
Introduction

I accidentally stumbled into a cooking decorating career fifteen years ago when I walked into a just-opened cookie shop. I spent the next decade in that shop decorating cookies for a living while earning Masters degrees in Literature and Liberal Arts. I'll turn any dessert into edible art, but I'm especially fond of decorated cookies, painted marshmallows and sweets on sticks.  My first book, Cookie Sensations, was published in 2007. My second book, Sugarlicious: 50 Cute and Clever Treats for Every Occasion, was published in early 2012. I writes the blog, The Decorated Cookie (www.thedecoratedcookie.com), and I'm the Edible Crafts editor for CraftGossip.com.

My cookies have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, BRIDES Magazine and The Washingtonian. My blog has been featured on 100s (maybe millions!) of websites including The Huffington Post, MSN, Saveur, Good Morning America, TLC's Parentables, Parenting, babble, iVillage and more.
