Kicking off the new year with an excellent article by first time HROARR author Kendra Brown, based on work with Rebecca Garber, supported by Michael Chidester, Don Kindsvatter, and Mark Millman. Very happy to be able to share this and a big thank you for sharing to HROARR. Enjoy!

A bit behind but I've been kept busy by things...

Here are some happy news: During Swordfish X, Swedish HEMA company St Mark released the first glimpses of the new Koning glove. It’s a fingered leather glove with a hard shell and a soft padding underneath.

Anders Linnard and Axel Pettersson run St Mark, and they both fought in the tournament with the gloves at Swordfish. I have been in the loop for a few years (but sworn to secrecy) since I helped them out with their website, so it’s great to finally get to see the results of their work. But I haven’t actually seen the glove yet, so there isn’t much I can reveal at this point. Still it’s very exciting.

Anders has promised me a pair of gloves as soon as they are ready, and I will also get to try the pre-production model shortly, so I will get back to you on what they are like. In the mean time, check out their website at www.saintmark.se.
