The Harvard vs. MIT Case Competition allows teams to work on a real-life business challenge under the mentorship of consultants and and postdocs from various disciplines. This year's event featured 20 teams, 12 from Harvard and 8 from MIT and there were four members on each time. Third prize was awarded to an MIT Team with members: Ashish Goel – Sloan Fellow ’17, Sloan School of Management Huaxi Shang – M Fin 2016, Sloan School of Management Jan Baron – PHD candidate, Department of Mechanical Engineering Steven Guitron – S.M. Candidate 2017 Department of Mechanical Engineering

Sue Lotz SF’75, Partner with Portsmouth Consulting Group, met many of our current Sloan Fellows women. Building networks and connections between alumni is one of the best aspects of the program. This year, we welcomed the highest percentage of women fellows since the program started and it’s inspiring to see connections between them and previous cohorts.

Saudi Aramco has recently named Ibrahim Al-Buainain, SF'14, as the new Chief Executive of its trading arm. Prior to this position Al-Buainain has been in charge of Saudi Aramco's Asian Operations, Saudi Arabian Oil Co.'s global energy investments, and Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures.
Saudi Aramco has named Ibrahim Al-Buainain as chief executive of its trading arm, the company said on Tuesday, as Al-Buainain's star continues to rise within the ranks of the energy giant. Ibrahim Al-Buainain's promotion to CEO of Saudi Aramco Trading takes effect this month.

MIT Sloan Fellow, class of 2013, Patricia Winand, was recently promoted at biotech, PerkinElmer. As Vice President-Customer Care in their Global Operations division, Pat will be managing 380 people in 17 countries as she oversees customer care, logistics, order management and demand planning. She looks forward to the impact she can make on the business and her employees. In fact, Pat is already making an impact as a mentor to two women employees!
