37 projects Completed in Daikundi Province

At a cost of more than AFN 4,340,000funded by the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) including 10% community contribution 37 infrastructure projects were recently completed in Shahristan, Sangtakht, Nili, Meramor, districts of Daikundi province.
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Daikundi province, these development projects include the construction of protection walls, irrigation water anal (1,412) meters in length, a 438-meter Retaining wall, sided ditches, extension of a water supplies networks, excavation of 12 water wells equipped with hand pumps, 16.16 km rural road.
Approximately, 4,328 families in various communities have gained access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Daikundi province, the NSP has implementedof 1,098 development projects in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc. Thousands of residents of Daikundi province have benefited from these projects so far.

The Start of Maintenance Cash Grant Project under the MRRD/NSP in Logar Province

Mohammad Halim Fidaee the Logar Governor inaugurated the Maintenance Cash Grant Project under the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) in Logar province today.

Mohammad Halim Fadaee the Logar Governor, Eng Zafar khan the NSP Provincial Manager for Logar province, Logar Provincial Assembly representatives and a large number of influential elders have participated in the gathering, conducted in Provincial Palace of Logar province.

While expressing his pleasure over successful implementation of NSP projects in the rural areas of Logar province, the Logar Governor praised the constructive activities so far performed by the Community Development Councils (CDCs) at community level.

“A sum of AFN 148,867,502 has been allocated for the MCG Project, initially designed to execute in the district of Muhammad Agha and in a number of localities related to Pul-e-Alam the center of Logar province. Managed by 36 engineers and social organizers, the MCG Project will cover 273 communities in the districts mentioned. The commencement of the project will create 297,735 labor days providing some 14,887 individuals - 44,660 labor days for skilled and 253,074 labor days for unskilled - with employment opportunities”, he added.

19 Development Projects Completed in Badghis Province
At a cost of AFN 46,369,000 funded by the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) including 10% community contribution 19 infrastructure projects have recently been completed in Qale Now districts of Badghis province.
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Badghis province, these projects include the construction of community centers, protection walls, retaining walls, culverts, drinking water intake, excavation of water canals and excavation of drinking water wells equipped with hand pumps.
Approximately, 5,724 families in different communities had an opportunity to gain access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.

Since its inception in Farah province, the NSP has been disbursed 1,640,399,151 to be able to execute 1,7502 uplift projects in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc while the work of hundreds of others is currently in progress in various communities.

The Handover of Kunar MRRD/ NPS/PMU New Building,

The construction work of the new building for the Provincial Management Unit of the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) has been completed in Kunar province.

Wahidullah Kalimzai the Kunar Governor, Jamaludin, Muhammad Jafar Sarwari the Kunar RRD Director, Eng. Habib Rahman Habib the NSP Field Coordinator for East Region, Dr. Nangialai Ibrahimi the Stakeholder Relations Unit Head of NSP, Eng Najibullah Sapay acting Provincial Manager of Kunar and a numbr of CDC Heads and influential community elders have participated in this handover ceremony.

Constructed at a sum of AFN 15,319,000 funded by the MRRD/NSP in an area of 541 square meters, the new building is consisted of 15 rooms for office, 6 toilets and a kitchen equipped with modern systems.

Properly monitored by Kunar PMU engineers, the new building’s work started in 2015 and was successfully completed in 2016.

“The newly constructed building will help the Kunar PMU personnel solve their difficulties to a great extent as well as channeling their overall administrative activities properly”, said Wahidullah Kalimzai the Kunar Governor.

In continuation of the inauguration ceremony, 36 development projects completed at a cost of AFN 62,991,000 in the district of Noorgal and in a number of localities related to Asadabad the center of Kunar province have been handed over to the communities.

These development projects encompass the construction of 465 meters of protection walls, a rural road 2874 meters in length, a 21410-, meter pathway, 62 toilets, a community center, seven water supply networks and 143 wells equipped with hand pumps

Approximately, 5,724 families in various communities have been able to get access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.

Since its inception in Kunar province, the NSP has been able to cover 940 communities and execute a total of 2,300 development projects in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc completing the NSP phases I, II and III successfully.
