Late evening sun and new pots from the new kiln

I thought spring had sprung......
It really felt like spring had sprung on Tuesday, but today we are back to the grey skies and cool
temps. So I thought I'd bring s bit if colour in from the garden and
pop it in a new vase from last weeks firing. The vase was made with daffs in mind.

Wardlow Pots and Food Festival is this weekend. Really looking forward to this show, I've heard loads of great things about it and I can't wait to go and check it out....lots of good food to eat and lovely pots to look at. Sat 10-5pm and Sun 10-4pm

The 'Pocket Rocket'
I fired a new experimental kiln this week. It turned out to be a good firing. Cone 10 was flat and glazed on one shelf and Cone 9 down on another set of cones. I introduced salt and soda whilst firing the kiln with gas and wood. It is only a small test kiln...
