Well done on the race. And to your Dad too. Well done on his PB! You two look really similar in that last photo!
I love the atmosphere at races and being able to chat to new people - I've always found other runners so chatty and helpful when you get talking.
It was lovely weather at the weekend. We went to our first BBQ of the year and caught up with a few family members in Wolverhampton.

Seagulls are such greedy birds! My parents live on the coast in Norfolk and in the Summer the gulls become a proper nuisance swooping down to get food from all the tourists.
I hang all my marathon and ultra medals on a Trail Running medal hanger I was given a few years ago. The rest don't fit anymore! I bought a new holder last year, but I was waiting until we had our ceilings plastered at the start of this year to hang anything new on the walls. My Cakeathon medal hangs on it's own from one of the curtain rails!

We live near to the Weetabix factory, and on nice days you can often smell the Weetabix from ours which always makes me hungry. Bagels sound better though!
I tend to wear my 50th top at parkrun each week now for that reason - I fear it will become redundant once I hit 100 parkruns! Although you are so much closer than me with only three to go. Well done on your 42 miles (Good old half term! ;) )
I have (and love) the Garmin 310XT. It's quite big on my wrist but has a great battery life (I only need to charge it once a week or so) and connects via bluetooth. It's an oldy but a goody.

How rubbish that you have two parents evenings in the same week! I have seven across the year but luckily they are well spread out!
When we were younger my brother and I used to sneak all of the icing and marzipan off of the Christmas Cake as neither of us are big dried fruit fans so my Dad used to have to eat the cake without any topping!
Hope you're having a nice break this week.

I'm on my maternity leave now and already dreading having to return as a full time teacher in June. My little boy will just be learning to crawl by then and I'm so worried I'll be missing out on all his milestones. 😓

This is such a lovely idea for a blog post!

Well done on a super speedy run in the mud! I've thrown out several of my white tops now since I can never get the mud stains out properly after a muddy trail run!
Congratulations on becoming an Auntie again and to your parents for their first grandchild! I didn't realise you had a sister. You mention your brother a fair bit on the blog because of parkrun, so I guess your sister isn't a runner!

I am always so envious of your fantastic trips away. I shall have to visit these places through you for the time being but once Oscar is a little older we are definitely heading back out to visit a whole load of new countries!
I love looking back on the year when it gets to the end. It always shows just how much you manage to fit in, despite there seeming to be so many days where nothing exciting happens!

Those dates sound gooood! I had never tried dates until about a year ago and now they are one of my favourite things to snack on. :)
We're stuck with somewhere to store our shoes at the moment. The obvious place for a shoe rack is at the far end of the porch when you first come through the front door, but then it would block the entrance to our downstairs toilet. Currently we take shoes off in the porch and then carry them upstairs to the shoe rack in the guest room, but it's not a long term solution!

You are so close to your 100th parkrun now! I saw your fox pictures on your Facebook last week. They were proper bold to be out wandering in your garden like that! I've seen several deer out on the trails round here, and we have a lot of birds of prey out this way. There are always heron flying over as we live so close to the lakes. When we first moved here Dan once said that he'd seen a 'pelican' flying over the road (instead of a heron) and I've never let him forget it!
Your work car park sounds awful. I was in a car park at a wedding doing that in heels the other year - holding onto my car and almost skating round! Rather scary. Luckily it was after the wedding and I was on the way home!
