We made it out to Galacticon last Sunday and boy was it a weird one. Though not so weird given all the problems its had, which I think went far beyond mere hotel rooms. http://igp-scifi.com/2015/08/galacti-con-house-of-cards-edition/

Here's a review for a short audiobook I narrated on the zombie apocalypse. Or rather, one person's experience of it. http://audiobookreviewer.com/reviews/the-end-by-adam-m-booth/

This deep sea ROV encounter with a sperm whale is so cool! I love whales and even went to Kaikoura, NZ to watch sperm whales, but it was nowhere near as amazing as this footage.

I'm old school when it comes to book covers. I'm a huge fan of Michael Whelan's cover illustrations which is what this cover makes me think of. Never judge a book by its cover? Not me. I judge!

The overall tree cutting experience went well enough.... I guess. This is the first time i have hired such a company, so I wouldn't know. However their timeliness is awful. They were over two hours late for the initial job, which meant our plans for later in the evening fell through. It also meant it was dark by the time they got done with the trees, so we didn't get the rounds placed in a convenient location, but instead sitting in our grass and bushes. Then when it came time to pay, they wanted a cheque because nobody could seem to work the ipad for a credit card payment. When we tried to get ahold of someone over the phone to make payment, rather than taking payment over the phone or saying they will send a bill, they said someone would come over the next morning at 10AM. We were set to go out shortly after but we said OK. By 10.30, no one had shown up. We called and was told they were going to be here any minute, yet it still took another 10 minutes before someone finally showed up. They were 40 minutes late, just for a credit card payment. And yet again, our plans fell through because of their lack of timeliness. Any other company would just send a bill or take payment over the phone. I'm sorry, but this is just not good customer service and I honestly can't recommend them.

Chik and his team have been great to deal with from start to finish. He easily handled our unusual employment situation, and kept up regular communication throughout the seven month short sale process. As complicated as our buying experience was, with the bank waiting until the last minute to approve the sale, we appreciated everything Chik did to meet a tight closing date. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic company. Our battery decided to pack it in while we were parked at PCC Natural Market. We called Edmonds Auto Parts because they were nearest, figuring we'd have to leg it down there and then carry a new battery back. Instead, they drove to us with a new battery and a box of assorted tools, without charging us anything in advance, including core charge. To top it off, when we needed a particular size tool to get the old battery out, we called them to ask if they had any that we could buy, and they came down again, and brought us more tools to borrow. Can't beat that kind of service!
