My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here. I love the place modern, elegant yet romantic atmosphere. The food are Great from appetizer to main course and even desserts their all fantastic very delicious and presentable. Chef Agostino serves our food and ask politely if there's any suggestions or comments about our food but we say Its the BEST!!

Once again I am reminded that Vincenzo is the best restaurant in Louisville. I was part of a party of 9 and we had great service and great food. No special request is too much for the staff to handle and everything turned out the way it was ordered and delicious. If you haven't been there and you like great Italian food and service to match, go there and enjoy Louisville's best.

Best dining experience in Louisville! Now I understand why celebrities eat at Vincenzo's and why the restaurant has won a Best of Louisville award. My wife and I were treated to flawless, friendly service in a great atmosphere. We ate wonderful salads, pasta, salmon, stuffed veal, banana cheesecake, and tiramisu. The recommended red was spectacular. My wife doesn't typically enjoy seafood, but she agreed the salmon was the best she's ever had. In my opinion, the pasta far exceeded anything you'll find at a chain restaurant. Having read some of the reviews below, here are some thoughts: - If you're on a budget, you may want to go at lunch (looks like plates start at about $10), or at least check out the dinner menu prices on their website - If you want to avoid the crowds, go a little early - we made our dinner reservation at 5:30pm and avoided the Friday night rush - Eating multiple courses takes time - plan on being there 1 - 2 hours and relish the experience of NOT being in a hurry. Basically, we were blown away. If you're looking for a romantic date away from the kids or an upscale place to catch-up with friends and loved ones, this is your Louisville destination.

My wife and I came to Vincenzo's for our two-year wedding anniversary. We were looking for a nice restaurant downtown to celebrate the occasion, and noticed that Vincenzo's was offering a $25 for $50 Groupon (more on that later), and was very well rated. So, we decided to take a chance, and are very thankful we did. When reserving online, I indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary, and when we arrived, they made sure to seat us at a very nice booth where we could sit more closely (a very nice gesture, because the booths were definitely designed for parties greater than four, but provided extra comfort and privacy). The waitstaff was attentive, and extremely friendly. I've seen some people complain about the speed of service at this restaurant, but I think they have misunderstood some of the cultural differences between American cuisine and real Italian meals. We were thankful for the additional time to talk and digest between courses. All-in-all, it took us roughly two hours to eat Appetizer through Dessert -- which is fair for a pleasant sit-down restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good company. Additionally, because we mentioned that it was our anniversary, we were surprised by two complimentary desserts. The tiramisu was seriously the best I've ever had. The plate was creatively garnished with chocolate, wishing us a happy second anniversary. This was a great touch. During the meal, Chef Agostino came by and made sure we were enjoying the food (which was delicious), and afterward, another co-owner came by and wished us a happy anniversary and many more. As for the Groupon, I feel like there is often a stigma at nicer restaurants against using these sort of deals, because "If you can't afford it, you shouldn't go there." After we gave ours to our waiter, he was keen to pick up on that, and was extremely thoughtful to mention that they run the Groupon on-and-off all year long (and are excited to have people eat there with them), and that his wife has often purchased them to come and eat there too. All in all, my wife and I both felt that Vincenzo's was one of the best places for us to spend our anniversary, and we'll definitely look into adding it to our semi-regular date night rotation.

Went there on a thursday night and might as well went to harlan county. Table of toothless revelers in the table next to ours followed by several cans of tobacco spit in full use. They were having a ho down at my expense.......bad idea.....someone there either dropped the ball or your converting the place to a Porkies.
