What are the top countries that come to mind when you think of a beach holiday? If you're like us, Bulgaria didn't make the top ten.

Now that we've spent a month on the coast of the Black Sea, Varna, Bulgaria has rocketed to a prominent place at the top of our "best beach life" list. Check it out!

Hi Uncontained Lifers! We opt to visit fewer places in a country for longer durations. It gives us the chance to get to know a particular city, region, or destination a little bit better. The flip side is that we don’t get the chance to experience all that a country has to offer. In Brazil, we knew we wanted to experience Rio De Janeiro, visit our friends in Sao Paulo, and then, we had a giant list of amazing places we wanted to explore…and we had to choose just one. We were very happy with our choice. We chose Iguazu Falls!

But I’m not looking for escape hatches. Instead of turning my back on something I don’t want, I’m going back to something I do want: a life which excites me, sparks my compassion, inspires my creativity, and yes, still scares me a little sometimes."

When we first told people we planned to visit Cuba, we were told to get ready for a blast from the past. And yes, with its old cars and generally slower way of life, there’s a lot about Cuba which does feel part of another century. But there’s also a lot of things, from the clothes people wear to the numbers of young people hunched over smartphones in the parks, which are solidly “of the now.”

Every chance we get, we ride horses. Rain didn't stop us in San Augustin, Colombia, from riding the beautiful trails surrounded by greenery, coffee farms, and archeological sites.
