Does anyone know how to find the #AndroidWear app on the play store?

Nothing on the Play search or Google search is turning up an official app, despite numerous instructions to "Install the Android Wear app from the Play Store"

Rogan Creswick is speaking at http://bit.ly/BsidesPDX this Fri 2-3p on "Multi-App Security Analysis: Looking for Android App Collusion."

Abstract: The Android permission model opens up a number of opportunities for apps to bypass the established single-app permission checks that Android users rely on to control data flow and application behavior on their devices.  I'll be discussing the potential security issues that can arise from the existing single-app focus of the permission model, and I'll demonstrate a tool that can help to identify potential app collusion.

Wow, I just realized that I almost completely stopped checking/using G+ when the UI switched to a 3-column, un-ordered layout. (and when the big bar at the top started trying to hide/show based on scrolling).

+Google managed to alienate me so well that I didn't even notice how revolting I found their changes :(.

Does anyone have access to "the" Wall Street Journal POS-tagged corpus? Could you help me run a POS tagging evaluation of Chatter that matches what Honnibal did with the python implementation of the same algorithm? (Honnibal's post is here: http://honnibal.wordpress.com/2013/09/11/a-good-part-of-speechpos-tagger-in-about-200-lines-of-python/ )

Chatter is on hackage: http://hackage.haskell.org/package/chatter although I suspect it's not quite as accurate as Honnibal's right now.

I can also run evaluations on other corpora (eg: connl, brown) but I'd like to have numbers that compare to his blog post results.

I just released a simple #NLP library for #haskellhttp://goo.gl/ZCJTCb

The part-of-speech tutorial fits in a tweet:

cabal install chatter
ghci
> :m +NLP.POS
> t <- defaultTagger
> tagStr t "This is a test."
"This/dt is/bez a/at test/nn ./."
The chatter package. [Tags: bsd3, library, program]. chatter is a collection of simple Natural Language Processing algorithms. Chatter supports: Part of speech tagging with Averaged Perceptrons. Based on the Python implementation by Matthew Honnibal: ...

Let's see if we can take back the #NLP  tag from the woo-meisters.

Mac emacs users -- what emacs variant do you recommend?

I've been trying aquamacs, but I find it /extremely/ difficult to configure. (I thought everything was just about right, and when I next started it I could not see the cursor, and all the usual emacs tricks to make it appear are failing.)

As I recall, I downloaded from here: http://emacsformacosx.com

It's version 24.3, and so far is working well.

Nice rooms and the restaurants in the complex are pretty good.

Great food and very nice service. I wish they would chill the ales, but that's a minor point.

I've only had one coffee there, but it was a fantastic coffee (a macchiato). Service was a bit slow, but they were also packed with the tail end of a lunch crowd at the time.

Very friendly staff, good coffee. The breakfast options are a bit slim, but fine if you want a traditional English breakfast. It looks like they know their way around the ales and laggers, but I've only been there in the mornings.

Nice dining room, good food. The first salad I've had in the UK that wasn't delivered under it's own weight in dressing, and also the first meal that I actually added salt to (it is *so* much easier to add salt than *remove* it...).

Food was lukewarm and pretty salty. Very few (if any?) vegetable options for a Chinese restaurant.
