Clean, comfortable, affordable, convenient, fun. This is a party place to be sure, at night the hotel is lit up by flashing rainbow lights and the nightclub is thumping, but instead of feeling instrusive, it all felt welcoming and exuberant. We loved it so much we decided that its the only place in Asbury Park we will stay in the future. We felt completely comfortable there as a straight couple, and had more fun in the nightclub than I've ever had at a club in the city. Bravo Empress, you're a classy dame.

I like this hotel is a perfect time to go a vacation on summer time because they all have some coffe and bagel for breakfast then like 11:00am or later you can go to a bar for a shot or a drink to feel great if you liked to swim you could swim on the pool o go to the beach at the night you can go to the T-dance to have some dance and get a drink while you enjoy the party at night and the receptionist are greatful to serve you for any information you need if you have a car you can parked at the parking lot near the hotel .

Although this hotel is nice on the outside, and in the lobby, once you get in the rooms (which are aggregiously over-priced), you find a completely different place. Our 3 rooms had bathrooms which were filthy! There is so much dirt and grime inside the shower tiles, and the toilets are so messy! Our room was missing a wood frame on the closet door. And for their continental breakfast they serve a VERY limited amount of food which was basically PATHETIC, and considering how much they charge for the rooms per night, and the fact that it is attached to a very popular area bar and restaurant, they could DEFINATELY afford a hot breakfast vs. the crap they served. There was no balcony tables, no ventilation inside the elevator, just to name a FEW more of the problem areas. On a much more positive note, however, the staff was VERY pleasant and helpful, always willing to quickly bring up towels/pillows/etc., which greatly reduced the need and desire to leave and stay at another location. But I've also have been in some Travelodge's that are much nicer than this place, I seriously do NOT recommend this hotel. Especially if you want to save some money!! We paid $345 a night per room and stayed 2 nights, total was over $680!! WOW.

i stayed at this hotel not knowing that it caters to the gay crowd. some of the guests can get a little rowdy on the weekends. overall it was a fun stay.
