As an independent who is sick of politicians (Republicans and Democrats) lying about historical and economic events in order to push their own narrative, this is rather refreshing.

Regardless of whether you agree with Senator Guillory's conclusions or not, one can not deny that he appeals to your reason using information that one can independently verify. This stands in stark contrast to the emotionally charged straw man arguments employed by contemporary politicians.

May we be so lucky as to have more leaders like Senator Guillory.

This was my favorite DenverJS presentation yet, totally made me feel like a kid again. Incidentally  this is the first published video from a meetup! We'll improve the production quality going forward and maybe better introductions :)

Got my hands on a Google Glass today. My biggest disappointment is that it doesn't work with Google Apps account which is my primary account.

This Chrome Pixel is actually starting to grow on me. I just moved my blog over to be hosted via a github/gh-pages repo with an editing flow to edit markdown posts via cloud9. Not so shabby. http://mike.brevoort.com  -- now all I need to do is start blogging again.

This is so damn awesome:
Child Care at Google I/O 2013!
At last year's Women Techmakers event, we asked what we could do to help encourage more women to attend events like Google I/O. I'm excited to announce that in response to that feedback, one of the new things you'll see at I/O this year is fully subsidized – yes, free to attendees – group child care at a location close to Moscone West.  We'll be offering child care for all 3 days of the conference, for kids aged 6 weeks to 12 years old, as well as dedicated rooms onsite for nursing mothers.

If you're a parent, and you've been on the fence about whether to attend I/O this year because you have a young child or infant to care for, tell us you're interested by checking the box on child care needs when you register for Google I/O.

Registration opens March 13. For more information, see http://google.com/io
I hope to see you there. #io13.

The Google+ app on the Nexus 7 is actually really good. Great to see Google getting much better at subtle UI sugar and UX in general.

Each year it's like Dazed and Confused at #io12 - I get a year older but they stay the saaaame age
