I'm writing a terminal client for MySQL that can do auto-completion and syntax highlighting. It will be open source (BSD licensed).

I'm funding it through kickstarter.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1839007321/mysql-cli

I'm at the half way mark with 100 backers, but there is only 6 more days left to reach the goal.

Can you help me reach the goal?

ps: If you're a postgres user, I wrote an equivalent called pgcli. Check it out: http://pgcli.com

+dongwen peng I've already replied to your email. You're missing the postgres-dev packages. Check the linux section (bottom) in his page: http://pgcli.com/install

I'm working on a MySQL command client that can do (smart) auto-completion and syntax highlighting. It is written in Python using prompt_toolkit.

I'm funding it through kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1839007321/mysql-cli

Your help is appreciated.

I've already released a Postgres equivalent called pgcli (http://pgcli.com).

pgcli - A postgres client with auto-completion and syntax highlighting written in Python. http://pgcli.com/

Quick Start. If you already know how to install python packages, then you can simply do: $ pip install pgcli. If you're on OS X you can install it via homebrew. Just be aware that this will install postgresql via homebrew if you don't already have it. $ brew install pgcli ...

I created a library to do fuzzyfind (https://github.com/amjith/fuzzyfinder) in Python. The gist of the algorithm was done in 10 lines.

Blog post describing the algorithm:
