The support originating form this thread at the Baja Nomads forum initiated by Maria and Francisco Santa Ana Lopez is what brought the relieve from the dire situation.
Without a doubt - the Baja Nomads saved us! The last few month in particular been a front-row seat in hell to the point that the electricity got disconnected because we had no more funds to pay the bill due.

For the month of June the Baja Sur capital La Paz was the Mexico / national leader in extortion crimes so it's just logic that the rest of the state has some of that spreading from the state capital.... http://news.radio-baja.com/post/164004723715/bcscrime-june2017
Couple's dream trip to Loscabos Mexico turns into "holiday from hell" as they are chased from their luxury hotel by "bill collectors" they suspect had Mexican drug cartel connections, who demanded "$10,000 for medical bills"
Ms Gelston claimed the hotel told them to pay the medical center within the next hour but the concerned couple contacted their insurance company, who told them they weren't safe, arranging for them to leave at 2am.
The couple ran to a nearby American hotel however more trouble arose at the airport.
Ms Gelston said an American Airlines attendant and armed Mexican police told the couple they "weren't getting on the flight until we paid [the money] and if we didn't pay it, we would be taken to jail until it was paid".
After negotiations with their insurance company, the embassy and Mexican authorities, the couple were finally able to leave the country.

Please help with that survey! This guy try to find out if there is widespread a difference between the paquetes sold by Telmex and charged for amount x and bandwidth "delivered/made available" are somewhat on eye-level.
You can test your speed here >> http://www.speedtest.net/ and, as across reference here >> http://testmy.net/auto
This testing is free and does nor require any software to be installed!
How satisfied are you with your Telmex Infinitum? With speed and connection as well with customer service.
(The image show my speedtest, I got Infinitum Negotio, supposedly 20Mbps and wait since 12. October for repair - so far 10 report numbers issued, voice service back since 14. November - internet >> see image)
I like to find out if there are similar experiences with other folks

La Paz sport fishing is still - in comparison to CSL - a well kept secret. La Paz was a sport fishing paradise quite a while before Los Cabos or the East Cape.
La Paz sport fishing is still - in comparison to CSL - a well kept secret. La Paz was a sport fishing paradise quite a while before Los Cabos or the East Cape.
Fishing could be difficult at the times in the very early days, mostly from pangas, but it offered fishermen an incredible sport fishing experience.
If big game fishing is "your thing" do not cross La Paz off of your list as the city offers anglers an incredible fishing experience.

The U.S.-Mexico border is one of the world's most fortified international divides. Starting Wednesday, it will also be one of the world's only boundaries with an airport straddling two countries.
An investor group that includes Chicago billionaire Sam Zell built a sleek terminal in San Diego with a bridge that crosses a razor-wire border fence to Tijuana's decades-old airport. Passengers pay US$18 to walk a 390-foot overpass to Tijuana International Airport, a springboard to about 30 Mexican destinations.
The terminal is targeting the estimated 60 percent of Tijuana airport passengers who cross into the United States, about 2.6 million travelers last year. Now, they drive about 15 minutes to a congested land crossing, where they sometimes wait several hours to enter San Diego by car or on foot. The airport bridge is a five-minute walk to a U.S. border inspector.
