I'll give them 3 stars because at least people there were nice and I like the ambiance of the place. But the food there is nothing more than just ok. I ordered the tuna salad earlier today and I have to say, meh. The tuna tasted a bit bland and was probably frozen a few times. And I loved seared ahi tuna. The salad was the worst part - just because it's made out of greens, doesn't mean it has to taste like grass. And no one asked me what kind of dressing I wanted with it, they just threw a bunch of peanuts on it.

Some nice art gallery openings make for a fun place to be on a friday night, but I haven't eaten here yet. Also to note, all of the artwork is behind thick sheets of plexiglass (done in about the most classy way one could) but it is not your usual exhibition space.

I have time to write this because we have been sitting here for 45 minutes waiting for a table that originally had a 20 minute wait time. I wonder if they forgot about us. Good riddance Royal T!

Royal T is a tasteful diner/tea house with super cool ambiance. A fusion of art and food. But just like art, different taste=different experience. The first time I came here, I had a super lame omelet that was supposed to be their signature dish. It was bland and unimpressive. I wanted a baked egg (because I've never had one before), but that crap was to take 20 minutes to cook! I was too hungry to wait, so I ended up with their lame omelet instead. Fortunately I had some amazing tea (something with strawberries), and it almost made up for the lame omelet. Our waitress was cute, but spoke very limited English (which made things a little confusing for everyone). My second visit was a LOT better since I ordered their steak sandwich which made the omelet taste like air. The art was rad, the service was fair, but the food is somewhat inconsistent and a little pricey.

This place is amazing! Full-on New York style hip-to-the-max art gallery... but wait, that's not it! Tokyo style hipster-extreme boutique.... but wait, there's more?? Yah man, I'm talking hot girls in French maid outfits serving you tea and food.. and the food is good.. especially the soba noodles.. they are the bomb dankness.. It's like the 10,000 square foot loft that you'd think Robert Downey Jr.'s character in Iron Man would frequent... I come in here to write a lot cuz it's just inspiring to be in such a huge space with pretty ladies and amazing Murakami art... not to be missed this one! I swear it's like the biggest hidden treasure in LA
