Stolen Credit Card Email Scam Targets Small Businesses and Service Providers

Watch out for this one! It starts off by appealing to the greed and sense of opportunity felt by the recipient of the email.

Awesome book: "Don't Make Me Think" by Steve Krug. First released in 2000 and updated in 2006 and 2013, it serves as a beginners' guide to user experience.

Well illustrated, well explained and funny, it is among the most practical books I have. No fluff, no fat, no filler, all killer!

Check out my review with extracts and screenshots as a preview of what's on some of the pages. #UserExperience #UX #Usability #Design #Websites

Review trolls! Ugh! Ever had problems with fake negative reviews on Google? Do you know someone who has.

It's difficult to convince Google there is a problem, but there are at least a FEW things you can do to stop bad reviews being a total disaster.

QR codes have been regarded as something of a joke in the west. That might change if Apple's next iteration of iOS in late 2017 has anything to do with it...

Have you ever had a Google review deleted? Or maybe it just hasn't shown up when you know for a fact somebody submitted one.

The Google review filter is governed by rules of logic not suitable for judging review authenticity.

Is anyone seriously still using one of those tack free website builders like Wix, Yola, Freewebs etc?

It's a false economy and cheapens your business image.

I was listening to the "This Old Marketing" podcast this morning and Robert Rose and Joe Pullizzi were discussing the Tucker Max publicity strategies.

A "controversy racket" was used to generate free publicity when the Tucker Max marketers behind the campaigns systematically, deliberately and secretly spearheaded opposition to their own controversial ads, thus creating a media storm in which reporters and news outlets generated free advertising.

It helped Tucker Max reach the target market and sell millions of dollars worth of product.

Great strategy: http://observer.com/2017/02/i-helped-create-the-milo-trolling-playbook-you-should-stop-playing-right-into-it/

Aren't you fed up with email popovers that try to make you feel stupid for not subscribing to their list?

Here's a rant...

Don't fall for this lead gen scam. A UK organisation has claimed to be a "regulator" of the web development industries. They even said they were in talks with 4 governments. Shocking!
