My trip Feb 17, 2015 to Stew's was perfect. I have an injury and called to see if you had an electric shopping cart which you do. It was brought out for me for my first shopping experience since January 19th. When I was finished a young man loaded my groceries into my car, gave me back my crutches and I was happily on my way with the quality produce and meats you offer. Thank you so much.

Stew Leonard’s grocery store is a great place to find quality products and entertains the customer with unique animatronics throughout the store. For those whom have never been to a Stew Leonard’s will most likely be pleasantly surprised. As you first walk into the store you will see a variety of freshly made popcorn, breads and cider donuts. You will also see a counter for a choice of soft serve ice cream or yogurt with at least half a dozen choices of flavors. Selection of food is great, they pride themselves in buying locally produced foods. There is a buffet with a good selection of food fitting for both meat lovers and vegetarians. They make pizza from scratch, along with sweet potato chips right in front of you. As stated, they have a buffet which you can mix-and-match. They charge by weight and the price is fair but can climb quickly if you get carried away with piling on the food. The food quality of the buffet is good, but I would not recommend to take a person on a date there. They have a large dining area upstairs overlooking the store if you wish to eat on premise. This is the best place to go for grocery shopping when it comes to being entertained and offered quality groceries. The layout is similar to Ikea’s concept where you walk in a switchback format through the store. They offer shortcuts if you know exactly where you need to go if you don’t want to take the scenic route through the store.

Products are just too expensive. After walking through the store for an hour we left to go shopping at another store.

Family meets here for dinner. The hot food bar has a nice selection just as does their cold side bars. Upstairs we enjoy company & food with family. The children are free more than in other places to do musical chairs or play other games.

I bought a script card for Stew Leonards from my church in Rocky Hill, CT in 2012. We gave them and still do give them much business. I paid $25.00 and put it in my wallet. Then we sold our house in Wethersfield. We moved to NC to find a new home. After we found one in 2013, I went through my purse and found the gift card for Stew Leonards in 2014. Since we were not going back to CT to live, I gave the card to my son to use it in 2014. He went from Manchester to Newington to buy groceries with the card. The cashier would not take it because it would not work. She or he called someone over to check the card and they said it was expired. (also written on the back were those words.) My son threw it out because they all said it was no good. I wrote to my church recently and was told that the cards are not to expire. I believe there was a law passed several years ago stating that same fact. I want a new card worth $25.00 issued to me as that is what I paid. You can give it to Church of St. Andrews and they will send it to me. Thanks. Please show this to a manager there. I am very disappointed as I never used the card.

If I had to move away from Newington, having Stew's right down the street would be one of the things I'd miss most.

Stew Leonard's of Newington hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
