Sunday brunch was a delightful success. We thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and "caribe" pot of tea. I can not say enough of the food the three of us received, literally. We can not stop talking about how much we enjoyed our eats. Excellently prepared in taste and appearance. The atmosphere is exquisitely vintaged with a comfortable elegance throughout. We have told all of our friends of this wonderfully staffed establishment and will be returning numerous times. Fresh and clean food that leaves you satisfied not weighted down and sleepy. This was a refreshing place to be thus describing food, atmosphere, and STAFF.

This is an antique tea room that my wife and daughter wanted to try while visiting SCAD. The place is run by SCAD students and the the waiter and waitresses are SCAD student. We got here around 11:30am and it was not busy. They ordered the Caribe Tea and the scones and tea sandwiches. I got my usual cappuccino. I tasted the Caribe and it was not too bad. It was enjoyable with the scones. Very tasty combination. The cappuccino was really good and was one of the better cups that I had during my week stay here in Savannah. The tea sandwiches were ok, nothing special about them, the bread could be a little fresher than what was served. Overall it was not to bad for tea and scones. The ambiance made it a four stars. May we'll try the lunch menu next time.

I stumbled upon the Gryphon as I was walking back to my hotel from Forsyth Park; I'll admit I really only went because it was close and offered food and air conditioning on a very hot and humid day. (I'm from Seattle; I'm a wuss, I'll admit it.) I ordered a prosciutto, fig spread, and goat cheese panini, with a cucumber salad. The salad was better than the sandwich, and by the time I got halfway through the salad, I couldn't do more. Sadly bland for what should have been easily amazing. The building itself is very nice, as are the wait staff, much of whom attend SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Nice to support the students!

We came to visit SCAD and had lunch here. Loved that the people working there were students. All five of our dishes were great, as well as the key lime pie desert.

We went there specifically for tea and found the place to be exceptional!!! The tea (I had coffee) was very good, as well as the presentation. The tea sandwiches (one cucumber and one chicken salad) were delicious! The ambiance was amazing as it is an old pharmacy. The rooms are filled with artfully arranged books! We got there just before they were closing, but all the employees were extremely nice and took excellent care of us. I would highly recommend The Gryphon Tea Room.

Amazing mix of flavors in the most unique antique tea room atmosphere. Great little place.

The decor is very lovely - it felt like an old English library and there was always soft piano music playing in the background. Our waiter was nice, although he kind of fumbled through what he was saying and kept forgetting to mention various things. We got a pot of tea and some scones, and although they were very good, the prices seemed a little high ($6 for a pot of tea and $6 for three scones). It was a good experience going here, but I'll probably wait a bit before my next visit back.

Took my wife here for lunch. Food was great. You have the option to eat inside our outside. The waiters and waitresses are SCAD students. Looks like it is more catered for women to go out and get afternoon tea.
