Bronco Hockey Bash: December 29 & 30 at the Joe—come cheer WMU hockey on to a GLI victory!

WMU’s Foster Youth and Higher Education Initiative has made a lot of headlines for its unique approach to providing foster youths with the resources and support necessary for collegiate success. This includes the Seita Scholars program, which provides a full tuition scholarship, academic and emotional support, year-round housing, 24-hour access to campus coaches, and basic life needs. Part of that support includes career mentors.

The Foster Youth Program is currently seeking 45 new career mentors to help guide incoming Seita Scholars through their first year at Western Michigan University. The program is also accepting donations for Welcome Packs.

Dr. Houghton placed his first few interns in 1978, however he never intended for it to become a program.
