Did anyone manage to launch Picker from add-on sidebar? I can launch it but the add-on window becomes blank. And I need to reload the sidebar when Picker is closed.

Hi,

I am finishing my add-on and have few questions and some feature requests:

QUESTIONS

1) How to handle errors? Will I receive summary error report as I do for apps scripts? Or should we use the standard try { ... } catch { send error } construct?

2) Are there any limitations on the add-on side except the CSS & Javascript limitations? Is there any time execution limit? If I understand it correctly only google.script.run calls are counted towards the user's execution time limit and we should pay attention only to those calls and make sure they always finish within the allowed time window.

3) What about parallel requests to apps script services? I noticed (by accident I attached two click handlers to the same button) that I can actually fire multiple asynchronous calls to the apps script services from the add-on.

Is there any limitation for the number of concurrent requests to the apps script services via google.script.run calls?

FEATURE REQUESTS

1) It would be great to have something like google.spreadsheet.getSelectedRange() method available directly in ad-dons. Now if I want do validate data range a user has selected I have to make a request to an apps script service to figure out what data has user selected and do some validation. This way I could do it directly in the add-on without a round-trip do the server.

2) Also would be handy to have information in add-ons about spreadsheet / doc settings like language and timezone. Again If I want to find out user's timezone I have to make a request to apps script service to get that information.
