Beretta is a rare gem in SF: the food is delicious, the drinks are good, and the price is affordable. Although the popular restaurant doesn't take reservations, they allow you to call in up to an hour in advance to "hold" your spot. We started with the yummy walnut bread burrata bruschetta. For entrees, we shared funghi and truffled panna risotto and grilled pork shoulder chop. I love risotto and this was a solid rendition. The pork chop was cooked well and retained its juiciness. Overall, the dinner was a pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu next time.

Came here for dinner and ordered a bunch of appetizers and a pasta. The burrata on walnut bread with truffle honey was unbelievable. Like I would come back just to order 5 plates of that and nothing else. But I'm also a huge sucker for burrata. We also ordered the squid ink risotto, duck liver on toasted bread, cauliflower with capers, and lamb lollipops. Everything else was pretty good, but the burrata was definitely the favorite. Also ordered a Moscow mule which was really good. Finally, got the tiramisu which was just okay. Can't wait to come back for 8 pounds of burrata

It was very busy because of the people coming just for the bar. On a Saturday night, a wait for two was 45 min - 1 hour. We only had to wait for 15 min! They sat us at the big communal table in the middle, where they sat several parties on it. We didn't like that. Other than that, the gnocchi starter was phenomenal, our pizza and calamari risotto were amazing, and the gelato we got was pretty good. Definitely coming back here to try the rest of the menu.

This used to be one of my favourite go-to places until recently. I have very mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun. On the other, the service is quite bad, at least during brunch time. I actually go here pretty often because it's convenient. Pretty much every time, especially at brunch, either something is wrong with my order (e.g. a different dish shows up, or I have to ask twice about where my drink is - even after my food came out) or, as often happens, the food doesn't show up at the same time (this past time, my date's food showed up after I finished mine - I didn't want to let it get cold so I had to start without him). The frustrating part is that getting a hold of a server is actually really hard. This past time, the wrong dish was dropped off at our table and the person who dropped it off didn't bother asking if it's OK or we need anything else; in fact, they turned around and sped off so quickly that we couldn't even ask them about it right away and had to flag someone else. On the one hand, they are usually reasonable about comping for such severe cases as these, which has happened a few times to me. But, on the other hand, this poor service combined with 30-60 minute wait time make it difficult for me to enjoy it here.

This place was delicious! We really enjoyed the prosciutto pizza and the prosciutto risotto (we like prosciutto). Their cocktails are also inventive and tasty.

Best thing about this place is its hours. It's one of the only places you can go to get food in SF after midnight. It's really loud, dark, and cramped, but necessarily in a bad way. Make sure you try their fried asparagus. The dipping sauce that comes with it is fantastic.

The food is really good but overpriced for its quality. Bartenders could not be more entitled or with more attitude - it's as if once you have ascended into the golden circle of behind-the-bardom, you have attained a higher plane of existence which excuses you from etiquette or common human decency. I've seen people asked to leave because a guest grabbed a napkin from the pile after their drink was spilled in the crowded environ. If you're just going there to eat, then do so, but I'd skip the bar experience. Much better drinks just a few blocks away at Hog and Rocks in a much better and friendlier atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants in the Bay not just for food but for the atmosphere and staff. Welcoming hostess, wonderful service, and above all the food is mouth-watering memorable. My favorite dishes are always a warm welcome back: - Walnut bread w/ burrata, mushroom-truffle honey: it's a classic here - Eggplant caponatina w/ burrata: eggplant, celery, pinenuts, peppers, cheese. perfect amount of crunchy and soft - Arugula & fennel salad with shaved parmesan - Fungi misti pizza- mushrooms, fontina, thyme - Panna gelato with extra virgin olive oil & sea salt
