Martin Gore did a run for Jericho and our project with survivors of trafficking.  He ran over 20 miles (ouch)  in The Peak District and raised an amazing £820! Amazing, thank you Martin and everyone who donated. Here are some pictures from Martins run.

Did you know Jericho's latest project involves supporting victims of trafficking?

Human trafficking is on the increase. Figures for the first 6 months of 2014 suggest that over 2000 referrals will be made to the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) in this calendar year which is over 1/3 higher than 2013 and more than double the figure for 2011.

There is a significant gap in the provision of work placement opportunities in Birmingham for all disadvantaged groups, but particularly for victims of human trafficking. And finding paid, sustainable employment in the UK is becoming increasingly critical for these individuals.Jericho is seeking to fill this gap by providing a work experience programme specifically for victims of human trafficking.

With our team of mentors, trainers and job coaches who deliver personal development, employability skills and personal support, we aim to provide these people with the skills, qualifications and experience they need through our range of social enterprises.
