Lenovo’s Rival to Google Glass |
The Chinese Computer giant Lenovo has revealed its version of smart glasses which it hopes will rival Google Glass

The as of yet unnamed device hopes to take advantage of the Google Glass main shortfall of a short battery life as it has added a separate power device that is worn around the neck.

Lenovo has acknowledged that it will require help form other companies if their hope to for the “internet of things” is to be realized.

Today I'm excited to show off a Google POWER8 server motherboard in the OpenPOWER booth at the Impact 2014 conference in Las Vegas.  We're always looking to deliver the highest quality of service for our users, and so we built this server to port our software stack to POWER (which turned out to be easier than expected, thanks in part to the liitle-endian support in P8). A real server platform is also critical for detailed performance measurements and continuous optimizations, and to integrate and test the ongoing advances that become available through OpenPOWER and the extended OpenPOWER community. (Google, IBM and others formed the OpenPOWER Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing an open ecosystem.

The Euler Line

Euler discovered that three kinds of centers, in any triangle, always fall on the same line. There's no intuitive reason that they should do so. It's one of the coolest discoveries of geometry, and the Greeks missed it! See also:

My #animal of the day is the #numbat! What a tongue! Numbats eat up to 20,000 termites a day and live in southwestern Australia.

Unfortunately there are fewer than 1000 of these incredible #animals left in the world, according to http://numbat.org.au. The site paints a site picture for the #cute little critter that looks like a #squirrel with a long tongue. Here is an excerpt from their site:

"Numbats are very vulnerable to predation by introduced predators such as foxes and cats. They are also eaten by native reptiles and birds, but because they have evolved in Australia with these predators, they are more adept at escaping from them ... Habitat destruction also threatens Numbats when woodland habitat is cleared for farming, development, mining and for people’s homes ... There are fewer than 1,000 Numbats left in the wild. This is less than the number of #orangutans in Sumatra and even less than the number of Giant #Pandas in Asia. Numbats need to be protected from becoming extinct through habitat protection, #fox and #cat control, and land management to ensure the bush is left intact."

Let's see if the candidate I voted for wins at least this time. Smruthi wanted to vote as well, just that the ink mark is on the different place. ;) Assembly election.

Difference between LEFT and RIGHT Outer Join in SQL
One of the most confusing concept to master in SQL is Joins, I find it quite similar to Recursion, some heads picks it up naturally but others can't even after lot of practice. This is one reason why Join is popular on any SQL interviews. One of the frequently asked question is Difference between RIGHT and LEFT Outer join, some will simply ask difference, others will ask you to write query. In Outer Join, non-matching records are also included in final result and depending upon, whether you are using RIGHT or LEFT outer join, non-matching rows from corresponding tables are included and for null is used to fill values for columns which comes from other table.  See more here http://javarevisited.blogspot.com/2013/05/difference-between-left-and-right-outer-join-sql-mysql.html
