gotta give the Ianto contingent credit for representing in this poll.

Rest in peace Mr. Jobs and thank you for the vision you shared while you were with us:

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

It's kind of like a little birthday present (for those of us that buy into the claim-the-entire-week-as-yours birthday celebrating style)
In November, Paul and Storm and I are coming to the Pacific Northwest for a show we call Wil Wheaton Versus Paul and Storm. If you like w00tstock, you'll love this show.

What's Wil Wheaton vs. Paul and Storm? Well, let me cut-and-paste from my blog:

"At w00tstock, I only have time to do one story with musical accompaniment from Paul and Storm. At this show, I will have time to perform a couple of stories that were not part of w00tstock 1.x and 2.x. You could say it's ALL NEW ZIPPY WHOOO YEAH if you wanted to do that sort of thing, even. Paul and Storm will join me for some things, and I'll do some things on my own. Also, we're putting together something kind of rad for this show that you absolutely want to see.Paul and Storm will play a set, we will all sing a song about pirates, and we have some secret (and awesome) special guests dropping by. Tell your friends, and come on down, because it's going to be a really fun show."

We're going to be at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland on the 16th of November, and then we'll be at The Triple Door in Seattle on the 17th.

I have good news and bad news about the shows: the bad news is that Seattle show is sold out (thank you, Seattle!). The good news is that there are still tickets available for the Portland show, and Portland isn't all that far from Seattle (it's a delightful train ride) and we are going to be joined by special guests THE DOUBLECLICKS for that show! Tell your friends, bring everyone you know, and we're all gonna get laid!

ICYMI, here's Amy Berg on Eureka's cancellation: "Everyone is asking why. It's simple, really. We are the network's golden child in every way, except profit margins. Fact is, Eureka is an expensive show to make. And we could not maintain the quality of our show with the cuts it would take to make us profitable for Syfy's new parent company. Our creative execs at Syfy fought hard to keep us. Trust me, they LOVE us. We just couldn't make the numbers work."
