When moving a #BusinessPhoneNumber from one phone service to another, what type of problems occur?

In the early days of VoIP service, there could be major delays in porting phone numbers from one phone service provider to another. The situation has improved, with numbers typically taking 24 – 48 hours to transfer. At worst, it takes a week to port numbers. More importantly, a business is not going to miss any calls. Phone.com gives businesses a temporary phone number to set-up the phone system. When the switch occurs, the temporary number is replaced with the company’s business numbers. There are two keys to successfully porting numbers from one phone service to another.

Make sure you are completely up to date with payments to your existing phone service provider.
Make sure that you don’t cancel your phone service until after the switch is complete. This is very important, as your existing carrier may delete your phone number if you cancel before the transfer can be completed.
Also, phone service customers should know that they have a legal right to transfer numbers from one carrier to another, and there is no charge for this service.

Hi +Marc Prosser, we've always been careful to moderate the articles that are posted in our Community to ensure that it's all high quality. While Casey was one of our most active moderators, we all consult each other before making a decision on articles such as this one. As you know, we always welcome and appreciate your posts, even if they're hosted on your blog. However, looking at the article, it purely reads like a promotion for Phone.com. If you'd like to repost without the article and no referral to Phone.com, I believe the content of your post is valid and applicable. Thanks for understanding and being a great member of our Community.

What is the most popular place to post a #job?

Before researching this topic, I might have answered “Monster.com” or “Career Builder”. However, the popularity of these site have been be rapidly decreasing over the last several years.  If you visit Career Builder’s website, the design look like it hasn’t been updated in a decade. My guess is Monster.com and Career Builder stop innovating, enabling LinkedIn and Indeed to become the most popular job boards.

The most popular place to post a position is Indeed.

Tips On Using #zillowpremieragent  !

Here is how you can get potential buyers or renters interested in contacting you! I

mprove Your Profile Photo – Agents know the importance of appearance. However, sometimes this is neglected when it comes to photos. You need a great looking photo of your face for your Zillow ads. The photo will appear fairly small on the Zillow page, so make sure that you choose a photo that looks good in a small size.

Showcase Your Effectiveness – While your customers may love you that may not mean that you’re effective. Some clients will want to see you “get it done” which is why Zillow includes recent sales in its ads. By recent, it means the last 12 months. So you want to make sure that as soon as a sale is complete that you can add it to your Zillow profile!

Social Media / Reputation Management Is Super Important when hiring!

What are some of the other best practices for marketing positions to find the best employees?

Taking ownership of your reputation as an employer is crucial. Studies show that 83% of potential employees care about a company’s reputation. A company’s reputation impacts their decision to apply for a position. Reviews by current and former employees are critically important in forming a potential employee’s opinion of your company, with 46% of job seekers citing reviews as important in making decisions.

Indeed offers employers the ability to have company pages where they can share information, and where past and present employees can leave reviews.  We take steps to confirm the reviews are from actual employees. Just like companies put effort into getting great reviews from customers, they should do the same with employees!

That's easy! If the home is vacant, let people test drive each room with Size & Space. They get to move around, interact, and stay LONGER. Plus, they feel a connection to the home.

Small Business #Hiring: How important are job titles in attracting candidates to look at job descriptions?

Job titles are crucial and a business can change both the number of candidates looking at their job and applying for the job by improving the job title. Let me share a real world example. A company was advertising a position using the title “Marketing Coordinator 3”. If you asked a roomful of people what a “Marketing Coordinator 3” does, I think the responses might have a wide range. As a job title, “Marketing Coordinator 3” is not very informative. When the company changed the job title to be more descriptive, their results improved dramatically. By changing the title to “Marketing Event Coordinator”, the number of candidates that looked at the full job posting increased 300% for the organic listing, and 1000% on the sponsored listing.
