Are you are "real" entrepreneur if you start a franchise?

When you first start researching, you’ll probably come across many brochures and info packets. These are mostly fluff pieces, designed to get you excited about the franchisor without sharing too much detail. This all changes, however, when you tell a franchisor you’re serious and they send a Franchise Disclosure Document.

b1The disclosure document, which is also called a “Uniform Franchise Offering Circular” or UFOC, is a 50+ page document that outlines your responsibilities as a franchisee, the fees you’ll need to and the rules you’ll need to follow. It also includes information about the franchisor, such as their financial and legal history.

Please sign our petition to keep the SBA loan program going!
We call on Congress to act as quickly as possible to raise the SBA 7(a) loan guaranty cap and keep the program running for the 2015 Fiscal Year.

Happy 4th of July Weekend! Thank you to our #veterans and those in uniform!

Here's the first resource for veterans in the article below:

- SBA Veterans Advantage Loan Program

The Small Business Administration’s Veteran Advantage Loan Program, housed under the Express Loan program, expedites applications for government-backed loans of up to $350,000. You are guaranteed a response to your application within 36 hours. Normally, there is a fee of 3 % of the guaranteed amount of the loan. But now through September, if you are approved, the SBA will waive all upfront guarantee fees for vets. (These fees are waived for all applicants, not just vets, through the end of the fiscal year for loans under $150K).
In honor of this Independence Day, we’ve put together a list of the top 10 resources for veterans who want to start a business.

Spoiler Alert: Counterfeit Pens Are Unreliable!

Before we get too far along, it is important to realize that the highly popular counterfeit pens (used to detect counterfeit bills) are no longer reliable indicators of whether or not a bill is counterfeit.

All the pen does is check for chemicals common in some of the more poorly done counterfeit bills, showing a specific color if those chemicals are present. But, with the rise of digital printing and counterfeiters specifically treating their bills so they will not respond to the pen test, you can no longer rely on the counterfeit pen to protect your business.
According to the most recent Secret Service data, there is nearly $9 million in counterfeit bills circulating in the US. With the rise of digital printing, it is getting easier and easier to produce counterfeit bills that will fool the average cashier or business owner. If you and your employees are not educated, your business…

wow, I never use any of these before, I use webs.com, wix.com, wordpress or blogger. Sometime weebly. Talking about Hostgator I like it because it support PHP, while the others I don't really know about it. BTW, nice article :D
