need some exercise suggestions from my fellow athletes...
I pulled a hamstring during my race last weekend and am unable to run for a few weeks.
What types of other exercises can I do (upper body, abs, ???)  whatever, these next few weeks so I don't loose all of my cardio endurance??  Biking is out as well right now, for a few weeks anyway. No WAY I can even THINK about sitting on that seat....

This is the text I was sending to my friend this morning...
What concerns me is that my phone thinks I'm angry, as it suggests that I was going to 'bust a man'. ??? Really???

this little treasure out in the burbs is a FIND!!! The serving sizes are perfect, the soups are delicious, the sandwiches to die for...talked to a girl there who said that she had eaten there 7 times in one week. THAT says a lot. :) Everything was very fresh and delicious!! Don't pass them by. It's worth a drive.

As soon as I walked up to our hotel door, and saw the back lit room number AND doorbell, I KNEW I was in for a treat. Upon entry, we walked into a sitting room, with a huge sofa and big flat screen t.v., and TONS of storage space!! walked the hall to the bathroom with a bidet and MASSIVE shower with two overhead rain shower heads and then 4 other shower heads on the facing wall. Then came the sleep number bed with another flat screen on the wall. This was the most luxurious hotel that I have EVER stayed in, and the price was VERY reasonable!! My only complaint is about the in-house gym, which doesn't have any air circulation. :( So it's VERY warm in there. But other than that one little thing, this hotel is a TREAT for anyone and everyone. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, at LEAST one night if you're in the Miami area. You will NOT regret it.

If you're going, make SURE and take shoes AND water shoes, as the beach is mostly rocks. It's difficult to even get into the water. Was not prepared for that, and after paying to get in, didn't necessarily want to leave. So, if you're going, just know that you NEED something on your feet or you WILL be miserable.

The rooms are DEFINITELY overpriced. And not very up to date. Our room was on the third floor, and all day long, until about 9 at night, you could hear the noise from the laundry room and that was on the third floor!! Not to mention, something in the wall of our room sounded like water was running through it ALL NIGHT LONG. There is not much storage for clothing either. I have to say that the staff is super friendly. But for the price, you would think they could throw in something more than shampoo and lotion. You had to pay for all your meals as well. We got two free cookies upon arrival. Wow. I guess in a tourist town, they can charge whatever they want.

The best place that we found on the island to get a vegan meal. NOT TO MENTION vegan desserts!! It's pricey (the whole island is pricey) but portions are accommodating and you will probably leave with a doggie bag (which you may get asked to give to homeless folks on Duval St). The teriyaki un-chicken wings were a treat, but served with bleu cheese dressing that is NOT vegan, so didn't get to enjoy that. Their fries are delicious (and after not having carbs in Miami) were a welcome treat to a northerner. :) Ambience is warm and inviting, but get there early if you want to get a seat, as they fill up QUICKLY and they run on island time, so there is no huge rush to get food out. Will go back FOR SURE if we get back to the Keys.

I can't rave enough about the artists who work there!!! Anna did my tattoo, and Mike worked my friend in to give HER a new tat, and then my husband and I went BACK two days later so Mike could do his first tattoo. He had just completed his first Ironman, and Mike came up with an AMAZING design!! We are MORE than pleased about the service at Key West Tattoo and would go back in a HEARTBEAT for more ink. Would have given them ten stars if I could. Thank you everyone there for your friendliness and professionalism!!!
