5 Minutes with Cally Rodgers – Winner of the WFF Peninsula Classic 2015 over 30’s Bikini Division and advocate of our 'Cheeky' colonic hydrotherapy!!
1) Congratulations on your recent win! You looked absolutely gorgeous! How did you prepare for this bikini competition?
"Thank you! I made the decision to participate in a bikini competition when I became pregnant with my son. During my pregnancy, I had quite a few complications and I put on 18kg. I had to wait 4 months (after Ralphy was born) before setting foot in a gym. During that time, I tried many different dieting techniques from starvation to just eating salad and having coffee then to a macronutrient controlled diet. It all comes down to what you put in your mouth, how much and when. I also spent hours upon hours doing intense cardio sessions and weight training. Preparing for a competition is both mentally and physically taxing. However, if you want something bad enough, you will stay on track to achieve it - especially if you have the support of your loved ones (thank you Paul, Ralphy and Shaella) and friends (thanks Alex - also a fellow competitor).
2) What role did colonic irrigation play in your preparation for this competition?
"Diet combined with regular colon hydrotherapy sessions proved to be an incredibly effective method in removing toxins from my body and maintaining my energy levels. This combination ensured my body was running at an optimal level for my strength and cardio training!! I also frequently used the infrared sauna as part of my preparation. Not only did it eliminate toxins, it helped with recovery. I also enjoyed lying there in the warmth and listening to music - a few times I even fell asleep."
3) How often do you have the ‘Cheeky Treatment’?
"Our colon is the sewage system of our body, and I believe that if I cleanse it regularly, I will maintain excellent bowel health and avoid things like diverticulosis. Fact is, we only get ONE body, so we MUST take care of it!! I get the ‘Cheeky Treatment’ (laughs) at least once a week!
When I first started Colon Hydrotherapy, I did 3 sessions over a period of 10 days. Now I just maintain the cleansing once a week. Sometimes I go there for the 'works' - Colon Hydrotherapy (45 minutes), followed by the Infrared Sauna (45 minutes), then a shower, finished with a spray tan!"
4) How would you describe your first colonic irrigation experience at ‘Sweet Cheeks’?
"Weird, but worth it, and now I’m hooked!! The staff are funny and welcoming and make you feel comfortable. At first, I had stage fright, so I asked if they could turn off the lights (laughs), but now I am fine. It's an open system which means you're left alone in the comfort of your own room, on a comfortable inclined bed in front of a TV and you get to watch the latest movies. The staff also offer you a nice cup of herbal tea to sip on during the session. Most people (unfamiliar with colon hydrotherapy) think it’s wet and messy business; and pooh goes all over the place, but it doesn’t. They also think that the therapist inserts a massive tube in your bottom, but that's not the case either. They tell you what to do and leave you to it. The tube also smaller than your little finger!
5) Why did you decide to book a colonic irrigation treatment in the first place?
"We all have our little trade and cheat secrets, and I won’t lie, during my comp prep I had a high tea at the Windsor Hotel for my mum's birthday. I am not one who likes to waste money, and I live in the moment, so that day I indulged in French Champagne and every dessert the buffet had to offer!! Naturally, I felt extremely guilty afterwards (laughs) and needed to eliminate the junk/toxins quickly. I called Sweet Cheeks and made an appointment the following day!!"

We had a visit from 'Con' who brought the Wenatex Sleep system into the clinic. Staff and clients were found rolling around on these soooo comfortable beds. Results of this hilarious afternoon was an unanimous 'We want one' The Wenatex has dried flowers and herbs in the mattress, washable zip off top for cleanliness and the list just goes on. Most important of all the bed has been made for a person's health and wellbeing.  Sweet Cheeks has given the big thumbs up for the Wenatex Sleep System and 'YES' Jan and I are both ordering a bed each.

We get asked by clients why don't we have magazines at the clinic and our reply is "we can't guarantee peoples hygiene behaviour when having a colonic and reading" but we can guarantee the cleanliness of our rooms as after every client every surface is stringently cleaned right down to the door handles. Yes, Jan and I worked in the hospital/medical industry and are anal (haha) about cleanliness.
Now have you ever thought about mobile phones?
Your Mobile Phone Could Be Covered With No. 2
Wash your hands well after using the bathroom, or poop may travel with you. In a study released earlier this month, British researchers discovered that one in six cell phones may be contaminated with fecal matter that can spread E. coli bacteria, after they collected nearly 400 samples in 12 different cities.
Since phones tend to travel with everywhere — especially places where we eat, like kitchen counters, restaurant tables, and desks, to name a few — the E. coli bacteria detected on them may play a role in spreading illness.

Jan and I were horrified to learn that there are colon hydrotherapy clinics that use cheap instant coffee or non-organic ground coffee beans brewed and refrigerated for up to 9 months just to save on costs for the coffee irrigations.
Well I find this deplorable and unethical as there is no excuse for such outrageous misuse of a client's trust.
We only use quality organic coffee beans at Sweet Cheeks and the coffee treatment is made upon the client's arrival, so we only ever have fresh, fresh, fresh.... Yes, our clients love the coffee treatment and their Doctor's are happy with the LFT's.
If the client changes their mind, that's OK, Jan and I will drink it instead!

It's fascinating when we get told by clients that their hair stylist/ nail technician advised them not to have colonics as it wasn't good for the digestive system or health.
Well to these stupid comments, Jan and I would like to offer our services for hair styling (colour, cutting, styling) and nails (gel, acrylic, etc).  We'll just google and watch a couple of youtube clips and then we should be able to commence as experts. Doesn't matter we don't have any real knowledge...
